New Photos & The Subject of Privacy
Friends,
About 2 1/2 weeks ago, I took 20 beautiful professional pictures and, for a while now, I have been going back and forth on releasing them or not.
Here is the issue: for those who have seen me, you know my tattoos are very distinguishable and are many. Although I will not show my face, these pictures do not hide my tattoos and, editing them out would be too much. One thing was for me to limit my poses as I have done so far, another thing would be to edit out large pieces of tattoos. It would be misleading.
Points to consider:
I do not have any family that 1. is not aware of what I do or 2. if not aware, that lives anywhere near Texas.
My biggest concern would be my non-hobby associates but, the ones that knew my tattoos have not seen me in 2 plus years.
I am also taking my personal social media website down as to prevent issues if needed (all tattoo pictures have already been removed).
For the ladies who have decided to show your face or distinguishing features: what was it like and did anything go wrong/not as planned? Was it worth it?
For both gents and ladies: should I or should I not post the pictures and take it to the next level of privacy (or lack of)? What is your suggestion?
Thank you for your consideration.
Kindly,
Camille

I'd edit out the tats and say that you did so in your ads.

Go with your gut and don't release. The benefit is minimal to none and the harm could be long term. /s/ Mr Stick-in-the-mud.

I would either edit out or not release them. Copyrighted photos or not you never know who would still steal them and use em all over the country (we see it here people posting fake pics) and someone close to you RW or family members may get that weird phone call. My 2 cents typically isn't worth ish but I do need to catch up with you soon!

A thought.... retake the photos with a heavy layer of makeup to conceal the tats instead of editing the photos (might look better that way) and keep the ones with the tats showing private or just share them with those you trust.
Just be sure to disclose to new gents that you are meeting that you have tats that are not in your showcase pics and then they can decide if they want to see you or not beforehand.

U have to buy really expensive makeup for covering tattoos and unfortunately u can still effing see them.
Camille for what its worth if your too worried then don't, your going to have that bothering you even more once you post.
Maybe you could send them to trusted regulars as a xmas tease/present so they don't go to waste!

I have done photos for friends and we used a makeup from Mac that completely hid the large dark tats that she had. Also a good photographer will also know how to use lighting to shadow those areas to hid what makeup doesn't. I wouldn't post what you have know but I would retake. Your safety, dignity and privacy are paramount and should not be compromised. Remember You screen for a reason.
Let me know if you need tips for the photographer.

Thank you, guys and Nikki!
Yes, the more I think about it, the more I think I should either just keep them to myself or have them edited. I plan on having another photo shoot around May and I have some ideas....

Ultimately agree with Nikki if you think it might be a problem, then it is a problem.
However, to play devil's advocate for a bit. The good folks of San Antonio may not be as umm colorful as us Austinites, so it may be a bit different and I have no idea what your body art is like. However, I'll say that while your swallows are unique to you, I doubt many people would be able to pick them out based on just the tattoo compared to the 1000s of other swallow tattoos out there Most tattoos are truly unique, but often fall into themes and most people won't remember that you have a blue and white swallow vs a blue and green one etc etc ... (using the example of the birds so I can subconsciously work in the word swallow many times)

I considered your exact point, Bob. The problem is, my tattoos are actually pretty unique, especially put together. They are very large pieces. But I know exactly what you mean.
And trust me, there was nothing subconscious about your flock of swallows lol!!

The Xmas gift sounds like the best way to go so far if you have concerns.
Trust your instincts and if your not comfortable about it, there's no need to force it.
