Any Chance of Albany/Hudson Valley section
I know i am new to this board but not new to other boards. It would be GREAT to have NY state sectioned off a bit because i know there is no way mongers from the HV area are going to Rochester and Buffalo etc. What say ye all powerful moderator???

skudd, thanks for the suggestion. The "powerful" moderators do not have the power to create new regional forums, but if there is evidence of strong collective sentiment and sufficient potential volume, we will be happy to convey it to the Powers That Be.

You are already in the Upstate NY forum. There is currently no separate Albany forum. As a member, you can already post in Coed Discussions. If you are interested in posting ads, you need to become a Verified Provider (see http://eccie.net/showthread.php?t=19258).

We need our own section
I am just saying that i dont know what will come frist the chicken or the egg. There is no action here on ECCI for hunderds of mongers that live between Albany and northern Westchester which would include, Albany, Kingston, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, New Paltz, Middletown, Fishkill, Nanuet, Nyack down to White Plains. When you say upstate NY you mean Western upstate NY.... I dont even know where some of these towns are... Rochester is over 3 hours away, Buffallo might as well be in Canada for us in the HV. C'mon get us a section of our own. Build it and they will cum lol .

If it were to come to fruition, perhaps it could be called Downstate New York?

Skudd,
I understanyour point. On another board there is only a joint area for upstate NY and it is dominated by the hv and Albany area leaving us in the central and western part of the state Still find it useless.
I think having a shared thread is good because we can use it as a recruiting tool for Turks That only go to the HV area to come across the state or vice versa. I guess we could just cross thread's and work it That way though. Glad to see some more people are joining to cover the whole state though.

I understand how you feel. It seems that the majority of the members (Ladies and Gents) are from Western NY! We in Central NY, Syracuse / Watertown / Cortland / Ithaca/ Binghamton get the same feeling as you do.
Recruitment, Recruitment, Recruitment.
1) Invite the Ladies that you know in your area to join ECCIE
2) Invite the Guys that you know in your area to Join ECCIE.
3) Get in touch with the traveling providers (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany) and show interest asking them to visit your area. If the providers get enough interest (Verified and trusted Guys) they will visit you. It is simple economics. Supply and Demand.
4) Suggest to the providers that you know in your area to post their travel plans west (Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo)

I hear you bro but thats not my job. If this site wants hundreds and hunderds of new mongers from my area to join they need to make it usable for us. This site is great and has enormous potential but it ignores demographics. Upstate NY is NOT upstate Western NY. You guys need an area designation as well out by you. Its not that hard to do.
I mostly use a different site with a different handle where i have reviewed a lot of women, and have almost 400 posts. I travel to NYC for biz a few times a month so its not too bad for NYC, but the midhudson valley is just a zero here. C'mon site owners and mods!

No Jymie, Considering just about everything and everyone north of NYC is referred to as upstate ny.... i would suggest something like Upstate/ Hudson Valley and for the mongers out in Syracuse area something like Upstate/ NY west the Rochester Buffalo area maybe something like Upstate /North west Just suggestions but you get the idea.

I think the point is clear that they want their own region and to not have it get muddied or watered down by wny/cny so what harm would their really be in having a Hudson valley region? I just hope they would helpthe hobby community across the state even thought we realize its not your "job". Hopefully it doesn't become too segmented. I don't know the thought about where Albany would fall though.

It was just a suggestion of what to call it, since the New York City Forum is not called Down State. Hudson Valley would be just as appropriate.

I agree upsate ny is to wide of an area to have in one section I work north of albany . Putting the hv and albany into one section, then central new york into another ,and then the southern tier into a 3rd would help.

I agree, and i think that the girls from the Hudson Valley who know very little about you guys and tend to stay put, might consider touring there if they thought it was lucrative and conversely the girls over your way should tour here. Variety is the SPICE of life. Cross pollination would be very cool.
