Interesting article on prostitution and technology

Hi guys and gals, I ran across an interesting NBC article on prostitution and technology in the wake of the Google executive "murder" by a so called high class provider. There is a lot of the usual information, but the article includes some interesting statistics that I thought would be of interest to both providers and mongers. Business travellers who monger out of town... if the escort has good reviews from locals, and a professional website updated frequently, that is a good sign. The thing is the presence of both makes someone from out of town feel a lot safer.

When I take trips out west, I basically require both from the escort before I'll call her, and I don't mind paying the extra I might be saving if I just went with the latest special on BP. While websites can be faked, and reviews can sometimes be faked, it is virtually impossible for law enforcement to invest the resourves in creating a trap that includes both, particularly a website that stays active over time.

I hear what you're saying, I certainly do. Gentlemen do put a lot of stock in reviews, for a variety of very good reasons.

However, remembering the last two major NYC agency busts where reviews were being used as *evidence* (as questionable as that may be - the legal system is learning that no matter what the actual verdict is, the media makes sure the damage is done either way)... ladies may not want to put themselves out there as much as gentlemen might like to see us.

I do have a website, but each one of us decides what risks we're comfortable taking.

Two thoughts based on both responses.

In your case Destiny, you replaced the necessity for a website by having a web presence at places like this. I very infrequently play local, and we've never met, but we've spoken before because I called. So you are proof the website can be replaced by web presence.

And I completely understand the point about reviews, but for most folks it is less about the details and more about the endorsement. In this area if Loki or Quail or someone else I have respect for endorses the escort as legitimate, that carries more value to me than a verification site link, or a consensus endorsement from a bunch of men I don't know anything about.

Travelling men do their homework to be safe. We don't just evaluate the ladies though, we also evaluate the local men to see who is credible, and who they lend their credibility to.
