Its odd for her to assign a formula such as that one, but if she's offering massage as her primary service it does make sense. A person's size (height/weight) does determine how much work and effort will be needed for that hour.

Anybody can fluff and bluff, but she may only wish to work at a premium standard set by herself (Yes, I know. BP ad). Pretty much similar to how some providers can only do 2-4hr minimums. They have a set standard.

Usually the therapist would just request they opt for more time or take away time from other areas but maybe she doesn't want to detract from her overall service and prefer compensation which is reasonably understandable...but the formula is still odd.
