This is probably off topic for this hobby board, but has anyone had any success meeting real people off the CL casual encounters page? I bet it's easier for women, but what about men? Has anyone got lucky off of it? It all seems fake to me. What kind of woman would want to meet a guy off CL for a no strings attached relationship?

It's really really hit or miss...plenty of fish or adult friend finder might be better. I think there have been murders associated with all of them....

I think a lot of providers respond to the guys posting the ads because of a lot of them say, no prostitutes.

Also I am on another board where ladies do say they get a lot of business from CL.

I've posted ads on CL...and they get flagged down a few hours later. I get better responses from Backpage.

Well, BP still has an escorts section. Don't know how long that will last. CL does not have an escorts/adult oriented business section anymore due to the Craigslist killer and a bunch of over-zealous state attorney generals. All CL has is their "dating" section. Most of the adult oriented activity gravitates to the casual encounters section. There was a post in one of the men's forums that discusses what happens on CL. CL has an automatic filtering system that will remove "questionable" ads. It is a science on how to word an ad and hope to get the response you want. I have posted ad in the M4W section in hope of finding a) a civie lady looking for a hook up or b) a lady in need of a FWB/sugarbaby type of arrangement. I would say that results aren't worth the effort. I would say actually scoring this way has a less than 10% chance. I did bed one lady who responded to my ad. I would say maybe 3 other real ladies replied. These were hookers looking for a client and not my target audience. The other 96 replies were pure BS/spam/bots. I also troll the W4M section looking for civie women looking to hook up. Tons of fake ads or ads from gay guys trying to trick straight guys, and again the hookers looking for clients. I have yet to run across a legit civie woman using CL for a NSA type hook up.

I have managed to find a couple of hook ups on CL, but there is a lot of bullshit too.Responded to an ad once from and 18 YO looking for an older man to have some fun with.Responded to the ad and got a number to text,after a few texts she says she wants to tell me something and hope it doesn't scare me off.Turns out she said she was actually 17!I was quick to tell her(if it wasn't really a cop) to take down the ad and enjoy being a kid while she could.Never got another text and the ad came down.

A friend of mine in Houston said it works fine with her. But then again I've seen her go through a guy walking in with $20 , a thief -etc. So seems to me it has bs galore that I wouldn't deal with.

Over the yr's I have had better luck w/ cl then bp in vegas. I now live in upstate NY, north of Albany. Have had very good luck w/ threesomes MMW, for very little investment IE: A bottle of wine and split the cost of a room with a fun tub, but it does take some time and effort with e-mails, phone chat and a pre-meet before the big event.
