But when the Dems had a 60 vote caucus in the Senate and Majority control of the House, and Obama in the White House...
It still took you until Dec 2009 for Obamacare to be voted out of the Senate and sent to the House...right before a Republican won Teddy Kennedys vacant seat, and then you had to scramble and "deem it passed" by the House since they didn't have 60 votes anymore.

Most of the opposition in the Republican Party comes from Senators who ran on a platform of abolishing the ACA and starting over. This compromise Bill does not do that.
