America has never been perfect, but until recently, she has always been great. Our greatness comes from the Constitution, admittedly a flawed document in its details, but brilliant in its principles of a government run by a document, rather than a person or group of people. The idea was that the government closest to the people would be the most responsive to the people. The federal government was established to promote commerce among the states, provide a defense and common currency, and a forum to resolve differences among the states. The House of Representatives was to represent the people. The Senate was to represent the states. The Electoral College was designed to give the states the ability to elect the President. The whole idea was to keep the federal government small, and limited. And to let the states and localities decide what is best for them based on their local communities.
They gave us a process to amend the Constitution, knowing the country would grow, and circumstances would change. But they deliberately made that a difficult process to make sure the states would have the final say on what changes were necessary. They feared an activist Court, which is why the idea of the judiciary determining laws unconstitutional was not in the Constitution. Judicial activism is the enemy of a Constitutional Republic. They knew that. They also knew a central bank was a threat to freedom, as was an income tax.
You can look to Canada and the mildly socialist countries in Europe and say they are better than the US, but those countries could not be what they are without a strong and free United States. If there was no United Stars, there would be no Canada or Europe as they are today. When America falls, as it is almost certain to do under a Hillary administration, those countries will change as well.
Not only is America at a crossroads, but the world is, as well. If we side with the Establishment Globalists, it's over. I think we have one last chance to revive the Spirit of Liberty. Freedom loving people around the world are counting on us. I hope we don't let them down.

The threats to this country have come through our land borders to the North and South from countries we protect with an umbrella of cover and countries we support economically with our trade and interaction. Neither has been compelled to expend on defense at a level that would provide any effective protection from an invader.
On a more relevant note: I haven't read all the posts in this thread, and don't have the interest in doing so, but I don't recall seeing any post by the OP that identifies specifically the "changes" in policies and actions that the OP believes would make this country "great" or even better. Rather than negatives, what are the positives desired by the OP.

Because of freedom
Thousands of people try to come here and make it. Thousands of people are washed up on shore dead because of it.
They think it is worth the chance of death.
My father came from Russia and fought in WW2. He gained his citizenship because of it and was a proud man till the day he died. I was not allowed to speak Russian because Americans speak English.
Without him coming here he wouldn't have lived as long. He wouldn't have been free to work and start a metal fabrication company and have six children in which my mother and him raised.
I grew up poor but didn't know it. I never went without food unlike a lot of places. I may have gone without a Christmas here and there due to no money for toys but my family made up for it in love and being together.
NONE of this would have happened if not for him leaving Russia, coming here and being an American.
I can tell those people that never left the country.
Poor people here have LED TVs, XBox games and two cars. are over weight and eat every day.
God bless America

Oh thank you, Sissy Chap, I am sooo grateful that you decided to "add a few points"... I ignored you until now, because your posts are 50% insults, 40% flatulence, at best 10% substance. They honestly don't deserve my time or attention. Just consider yourself lucky I'm bored tonight.
1.) You interjected global median incomes for no reason other than having no solid rebuttal and still haven't given a good reason for why you did it. Just because I specifically mentioned Canada and Swiss was NOT a reason at all for your dumb-ass to talk about global median incomes that would include ~all 200 counties in this world under various governments and economic systems.
Did I hit a raw nerve, dipshit? You're the OP so you know the answer. You INVITED global comparisons, along with "cold hard facts", in your first post! How else do we gauge how “great” we are if we don't score ourselves against the rest of the world? You're just fulminating because you hate being exposed as a phony socialist. You want to redistribute wealth and income in this country, but not globally. You know if you limit your greedy confiscatory urges to the US, you can feast on the spoils. But if you have to apply your redistributionist creed to EVERYONE on the planet (where you're part of the evil 1%), it would make you a big net loser and seriously crimp your life style! I get it, Sissy Chap! But don't get mad at me. I'm just testing the sincerity of your so-called “socialist alternative” convictions. It's not my fault if you flunked the test.
Are you really this stupid to not understand what you did makes NO sense? (don't answer that I already know the answer)
Word of advice - practice your meltdowns in front of the mirror. Take a deep breath and try to think of something semi-original to say for your next rant.
2.) You knew nothing of collective bargaining until I mentioned it for you. You're a clueless old fart.
Huh? Collective bargaining has been around a helluva lot longer than me, you twaddle-twerp. You don't even know which President legalized it. And why are you deflecting anyway? Are you afraid you sound like a paranoid lunatic (who knows nothing about the dynamics of wage determination in the real economy) when you stupidly claim all US pay is "predetermined" and set by "Corporate Masters"? Well, then don't make such absurd, paranoid-lunatic statements in the first place!
3.) The Economies of scale at a macro level is about Cost, efficiency, productivity.... My use of the EOS example at a Macro level is clearly meant to show the existing overall value / benefit of US currency to foreign workers / entities outside of US borders as an example to your silly argument of a.) global median incomes and b.) proceeds redistribution as it's already happening through the process of US corporations offshoring where they achieve EOS and the local workforce receives the value or monetary benefit . You're too old to keep up I see and if you don't understand it's because your original point was stupid to begin with.
Even if I was consciously trying to churn out sheer incoherent babble, I couldn't possibly come up with anything as jumbled and unintelligible as your last paragraph. Maybe you should start over and try again, Sissy Chap. This time pay attention to sentence structure. Ask yourself – what's my point? Something about “offshoring”? Something about “global median incomes”? Something about “economies of scale” (assuming you looked up the term)? Spit it out clearly, Sissy Chap. Don't hit the send button until you have articulated a clear and coherent point. And be sure it ties into your original claim that all US pay is predetermined by Corporate Masters.
4.) You said Markets aren't manipulated and now you're back tracking like the sniveling little Trump like weasel that you are. LOL
Who are you talking to, Sissy Chap? Did you bother to read my last post?

Are you making things up out of desperation? You're the weasel here. You said wages are predetermined, not manipulated. Are you now backtracking, like hildebeest did on gay marriage, the Keystone XL pipeline, the TPP, and her emails?
Carry on Looney Lad.

At ease, Sissy Chap. Take a latrine break, stick your head in the wash basin, and try to clear the fog out of your addled brain.

I really think everyone should just put Sistine on ignore.
His mind has been made up (by the DNC) and he isnt going to listen to reason.
He'll be gone after the election anyway.

Better to let Sissy Chap sputter and stammer and argue in circles and rant and start threads like this where he gets his ass handed to him. He is a poster child and a warning for what happens when you drink the libtard-DNC koolaid. Being exposed to his irrational tirades, invective, muddled thinking and verbal diarrhea could sway a lot of undecided voters out there.

You're lucky I had the patience to respond to your incomprehensible dribble-drabble at all, ChappedAss. I made your sorry worthless butt wait for 34 hours, not 72. Obviously, your computational skills are as laughable as your writing ability. The reason you can't earn a decent living is because you are sorely lacking in any marketable skills, ChappedAss. But keep playing the victim and blaming some imaginary "Corporate Master" for your miserable lot in life, loser. That's easier than trying to make yourself employable.

One of my favorite clips from a television series. Really starts at the 4 minute mark for those who haven't seen it.

If I may answer for him, since he'll sit there on his fat ass and stare at the monitor for three days before he responds to you, like he sat their for three days staring at the screen waiting for a response to his unintelligent rant about how the U.S. "sucks"!
(He's not the only one "sucking," but he certainly knows what it is! And that's what the U.S. has been doing under the Obaminable/Clinton administration ... sucking hind tit!!!)
