Tearing down statues, recent censorship of certain books, movies and media....kinda reminiscent of another group who was also big on erasing history back in the day......

Talking Heritage

Gents, The Confederacy lasted from 1861 to 1865. I've had leftovers in my freezer with more "Heritage" than that.

I guess if we are erasing history let's get rid of all of it.

I don't know for sure but my guess is that's exactly the point the perp was trying to make.

It's getting fucking ridiculous!

I thought that is why "we" were encouraged to study history ... the factual history and not the rewritten history after the real history is torn down, burned, and sanitized.

I thought so too LL.....I guess “some” feel it’s ok to pick and choose which parts of history are kept and which parts are erased or rewritten to suit their own agenda.....kinda like 1930’s Berlin.....

History should not be erased or rewritten. Instead, the statutes should be moved to a museum or historical park to preserve the history (good, bad, and ugly). However, they should not be displayed in a place of honor in the public square.

All of them? Or just certain ones? Either way, Mount Rushmore is gonna be a bitch to move since Thomas J. is on the hit list.....

If you moved them to a museum or special historical park....they would still get destroyed. Who would watch over them...the police damn sure won't....not now. Police response to crimes now is going to go way down. I can't say that I blame them.
