Thanks for answering, Dorian.
Magichands....
I like your reply. It was done in a way that I wasn't reading the same line repeatedly & you stayed on topic. It made my Nazi heart grow two sizes. Now it the size of a grain of sand.
I'd totally play pool with you...

Over the years, and dating back to the ASPD days, I have seen a number of travelling providers note some of the same issues Caremell brought forward. Put aside some of the insightful and wise advice given, and consider the following. Unless you have amazing marketing skills, a proven track record, or a demand that is not being met, you will find yourself a small fish in a large pond.
I live in the Orange Tx. area. I frequent both Backpage Beaumont and Backpage Lake Charles. Both areas have Houston providers that travel here almost every week. Sadly, none of them are really exceptional. However, they all meet a market demand, we simply have very few local providers. And they wouldn't be coming here every week if there wasn't a demand for them.
I've noticed a number of them often make the following stops: Beaumont/Port Arthur/Orange, Lake Charles, Lafayette, New Iberia, Port Allen, Morgan City, and Laplace. That's just the far Southeast Texas and Louisiana area, I'm sure as you continue East along the Gulf you can find additional attractive areas.
What do all these areas have in common? A booming oilfield, ports, and refinery expansion and maintenance. And many of these positions are filled by travelling, well paid workers.
While I seldom share too much about my personal life, my youngest son passed on his chance to go to college with the Texas Tomorrow fund that I struggled to fund while he and his brother were toddlers. After a few months working at refineries, he started travelling about 50% of the calendar year to stay busy. By the time he was 19, he was making well over 100K a year, not to mention a generous per diem.
One day he came home and told me all about Backpage. I just listened to him as if I never had a clue such a site existed. Trust me, oil rich tiny towns can make you a big fish in a tiny town.
While I did start hobbying at a young age, I wish I had a 100K a year to hobby with!

Looking at your showcase, one thing immediately jumps out. If you can get 200/hr for FBSM more power to you, but that's way beyond what I expect to pay, even with model-quality providers.
If you've priced yourself out of the market (and you may have done so) that could explain why you're not getting much business. For comparison, here in the Woodlands, where the market is far from saturated, I can schedule FBSM with a hot fitness model type for 120/hr.

Well it seems to me that on this site it's more about looks & body type. But what my clients pay for is quality. I have 14 years of experience. I know exactly what I'm doing. Now if your Woodlands fitness, model type has that as well for that price, then great job! I'm not being rude or mean, please don't take that way. But there's no possible way that I can do it. Now if my incall was at my residents that would be a completely different thing. But seeing as how I book higher-end hotels to host in, to ensure that my clients don't have any issues. Like having to worry about their car being stolen or broken into. Or looking completely out of place, when you walk in your business suit on your lunch break. 120 wouldn't even cover the cost of the incall. So if I can spend a little bit more for your comfort , convenience, & safety. Then I except the same thing as well.

You can keep your rates if guys are willing to pay it. That's up to you, but
you pay full retail rate for your hotel rooms... why?

Caremell, you should set your prices as you see fit. Hobbyists set their budgets as they see fit, and speaking as a FBSM aficionado, I see no reason to drop 200/hr on a FBSM session. (Heck, I don't spend that much on FBSM sessions that end in BBBJ/CIM. For 200/hr you've got a wide range of very good full service providers to choose from.)
Again, it's your business, set your prices as you wish. I was just trying to give you an example of the competitive landscape in Houston. I, and many of my friends, prefer FBSM, and 120/hr about as much as most hobbyists will pay for that service in Houston without a significantly expanded menu. Not long ago the going rate was lower, and there are still good options for less in the FBSM arena, especially if you're grandfathered.
Since you weren't happy with the amount of business you've been generating at 200/hr, it sounds to me like my analysis is proving to be correct. A nice incall is a good thing, but for many of us, it's not worth paying extra for. If you're dropping over $100 on a hotel room for incalls, you might consider booking through Priceline or one of the other room brokers; your expenses sound like they've forced you out of the market.
