Hotels are public property. Almost anyone can rent a room. And for the most part staff doesn't question who all is on property unless it becomes suspicious or belligerent.

A hotel is a Public Accommodation and the lobby etc is a Public Space, meaning people have implied consent to come and go as they wish as long as they are civil.
Public Property is literally property owned by the public.
It took this noncrimanal law studying someone two minutes to figure out.
If your going to lecture people on the law please make sure you're correct.
