Before the ACA was passed 80 % of the population was insured. At the end of 2015, 90.9% of the population is insured. That is an increase of 10%. The number one goal of the ACA was to increase the percentage of citizens who are insured. Anything else would be icing on the cake. There are problems with unbalanced risk pools, we will have to see how that plays out over time. The author of your Washington Post link was a former speech writer for Bush43. Would you expect him to say anything positive?
From the link:
As of March 31, there were 11.1 million paying ACA customers. Mind you, this figure doesn't take into account the millions of individuals and families who have benefited from the expansion of Medicaid in 31 out of 50 possible states. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the uninsured rate hit an all-time low of just 9.1% at the end of 2015.
What the data would suggest is that the ACA (or Obamacare, as it's more commonly known) has greatly improved medical access for a large swath of the population -- namely, people with low incomes and pre-existing conditions -- who previously had little chance of obtaining health insurance.

Go fluff you hero Ron Paul and then go fuck yourself. Health insurance companies would not sell health insurance to people with pre-existing conditions for years in the individual market. Why do you think there were 40 million citizens without health insurance? As for poor people, Medicaid that was signed into law by LBJ only covers families that are below the poverty level (family of 4 income less than $16,000).

There were less intrusive options and less expensive to accomplish the same goal. Obamacare is collapsing, and we will all pay for it. Your President simply wanted more government control. He doesn't care about health care. He cares about control. It's failed. He's failed. And you're still an ignorant partisan, unthinking, hack. Fluffy, GFY.

of course he did. compared to ACA it was an easy choice to make. you seem to forget Kasich helped turn Ohio's economy around, taking them from a deficit into a surplus? why don't you mention that??
because libtards are retarded and therefore incapable of accepting the truth .. about anything.

Waco Wacko, the expansion of Medicaid is a part of the ACA bill. They are not two different things. What in the fu*k are you talking about???? One more time, the ACA bill has two parts.
If your income is family of 4 and less than $24,000 you get the expanded Medicaid (if your state excepted it, Which Gov Kasich did for Ohio). By the way $300,000 people in your home state of Kentucky got this benefit.
If your income is family of 4 and greater than $24,000 then you can apply for a private health insurance plan on the government exchanges (HealthCare.Gov). This is only for people in the individual market. If your employer offers you health insurance, then you cannot apply to get a subsidy for a private plan on HealthCare.Gov.
Over 100,000 people in Kentucky got private health insurance plans from the HealthCare.gov.
Wacko, you don't even have the basics down. Go back to the Sandbox and handicap college football.
I did not say Kasich was a bad governor. We were not debating him.

From the Street.Com. you know who they are, right (they track stocks). The ACA works and is functional.
Taken from the link:
Now, before the law's critics resume their touchdown dance, we should remember the Affordable Care Act's many successes as well. The uninsured rate is down, it's approaching zero in states that accepted the Medicaid expansion, and in both 2014 and 2015 health care expenses came in well below pre-ACA projections.
In real terms, more people have access to life-saving treatment and for less money. That's worth something, and should be the baseline to all conversations about health care reform.

What could be cheaper than putting 10 million uninsured poor people (Family of 4 income < $24,000) on state Medicaid? Legislation that was signed into law by LBJ in the 1960's. Governor John Kasich a republican, took that benefit for his state.

yes it was.
ACA was designed to fail so they can provide justification for single payer system.
