His point, and I agree with it, is that you don't understand the traditional meaning of the word socialist.
It's become a catch-phrase, the new substitute for the word "communist" now that that word no longer has the boogie-man connotations it once had and because young people don't have any reason to be afraid of it anymore.
Another word that gets thrown around here a lot is "tyranny" but, like "socialism", it's pretty clear that the folks who use the term have no clue what it really means.
The drama queens like it because they think it lends credence to their whiney-ass complaining about those who disagree with them politically. It's a tea party catch phrase that the tea party nitwits like to use because they think it somehow ties them in to the people they imagine to be their revolutionary forebears, the founding fathers. Which is absurd but, that's the way people like the Professor think. Whirly'tard too.....that's why has a signature line that says "Yearning to breathe free....." or whatever it is.....I do remember he had "breathe" spelled "breath" for a long time until I corrected him on it and he changed it late one night when he thought nobody would notice. Point being, Whirly'tard and the Professor's and the rest of the whackadoos' sense of self-importance is inflated when they get to use words like these....even though the words have utterly no connection to the reality of life as we know it.
Obama isn't a socialist. We don't live under a tyrannical government. And we are as free a nation as has ever existed in the history of mankind. Whirly floats around on his boat (or at least leads you to believe he does) and then wants everybody to believe he exists under the yoke of tyranny and "yearns to breathe free......"

Words mean things. Socialism has a definition. Tyranny has a definition. A lot of posters on here don't appear to understand that.
