Dumbest statement of the year nominee right there. Men who served their country should squelch their first amendment right or be considered dishonorable. Yeah, sure, tell that to the thousands of veterans who were there.

All of them. It’s amazing people can’t think for themselves. The “I’m a Skeptic” handle is one for the ages. He’s not a skeptic at all.,

"An Indiana man who wore an Oath Keepers Lifetime Member hat in the halls of Congress on Jan. 6 has reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors and will cooperate in the Department of Justice’s ongoing investigation.
Jon Ryan Schaffer, a heavy metal guitarist from Indiana, entered two guilty pleas in federal court on Friday on felony counts of obstruction of an official proceeding, and entering andremaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon.
This is the first guilty plea in the DOJ’s investigation into the Jan. 6. siege of the U.S. Capitol. The cooperation agreement is akey turning point for prosecutors who have been pursuing a broad conspiracy case against groups of rioters, including the paramilitary Oath Keepers group and the far-right Proud Boys organization."
Big difference between those charges and resisting arrest. The trumped up asses were lucky to have not all been shot upon entering through a broken out window of the US CAPITAL.
Regarding those participating, I understand that all enlisted take the following oath of enlistment:
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Actions of any veterans that participated in the disruption of government activities and the melee that ensued did not Keep their Oath....unless,of course, the were following the orders of POTUS. Yeah, that's it. Perfect defense.
If it had been a group of avowed communists breaking in after a rally, sentiments here would be entirely different. That whole throng was a bunch of idiots, NOT PATRIOTS and don't deserve to be PROUD of themselves.

This requires no orders from any officer or elected representative. It is understood what support and defend the Constitution means.
You assume that orders were given but no one has proven anything like that. Another conspiracy theory? However, I will point out that unlike Antifa or BLM, members of Congress are NOT in the chain of command. Those leftists are following Pelosi, AOC, and Chuck Schumer.

"This requires no orders from any officer or elected representative. It is understood what support and defend the Constitution means."
Please elaborate further on your interpretation here. I did not say any orders were given. So any newly enlisted man without a high school diploma is entitled to interpret the constitution and act on their own?
Your second response says I assume orders were given...I did not say that...but if your defense for those that unlawfully disrupted government actions and invaded the US CAPITAL is that they were following orders, well who issued the order? Chain of command is irrelevant...they were WRONG and you know it but just don't want to admit.
If you can give a RATIONAL explanation for their actions that MIGHT justify defense of DEMOCRACY, not just your view, I might listen.

Neither. However, they both fucked up, at the wrong place, and the wrong time.

Easy answer: They were defending the Constitution against the "Domestic Enemies" inside the building holding a vote.
You guys keep dancing around this shit. Calling them terrorists and whatnot. The oath doesn't specify who decides who the enemies are. Furthermore, if they "broke their oath" and marched up the stage and arrested Trump, you'd be cheering for it and arguing they didn't break their oath because in your mind here the "Domestic Enemy". This is how far we've come.
I've got 2 things to say about that:
1.) One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. And if it's government officials calling you that, you've got fair odds of being on the right side of history.
2.) This country was founded on terrorism and founded by terrorists.

I'll agree with this. Terrorism is the American way.

In exchange for labor, the master and mistress provided food, shelter, correction, instruction, and sometimes wages to prepare their youthful charges to establish themselves and begin their own families. But the decay of the apprenticeship system in the years from the Revolution to the Civil War and the gradual disappearance of live-in workers eliminated this traditional method of controlling and educating the young.
