the police did not break in on her apartment with a “no-knock” entry, and her drug-dealer boyfriend they were seeking admittedly opened fire first. And yet a cop, who was defending an already wounded buddy, got indicted. . I read the guy also maneuvered between the cops and her as well putting her in the line of fire. Don't know whats true... but I don't really care anymore. Maybe you shouldn't sleep with drug dealers...

This is all just a political exercise. What are the stats? 13 unarmed black men killed last year vs. how many killed in Chicago this weekend by other blacks? And the issue is the police? I agree... the police aren't being NEARLY VIOLENT ENOUGH.

That is probably the truest statement to make things settle down.

In the past there were campaign attack ads, negative ads, smear campaigns. But they were usually isolated to a specific point(s). And after elections, the loser was mostly gracious and never giving bad words in defeat. trump has racheted this up to the umpteenth degree and hardly anyone in his party will stand up to it (or they will and than do an 180.) The continuing hate has run over the isle to where i'm seeing both sides are doing it. THIS is what makes me sick.

And i'll say again, if those out there can't accept the idea of a demo winning a fair election (regardless of the usual non-supported rantings) start posting and actively supporting the scrapping of our Constitution.

I quite literally don't understand how you can be angry at Trump. The Democrats (Obama/Biden) ran an ILLEGAL spy operation on his campaign, used honeytraps, false info, paid info from Democrat lawyers, threats, and bribes, FISA lies to the Court, they altered official govt. documents and even tried to impeach him for this bullshti about Ukraine when the calls quite obviously say the opposite of the claim. All the Dem politicians calling Trump a liar in front of the press cameras saying they have evidence say just the opposite when they are under oath... all trying to unseat a lawfully elected President. Yet you think it's Trump breaking the norms? How the f*ck do you explain all of the other shit?

Well, for me to be angry at trump, I have said it before: I have a bias. And that is caused from my father working in the intelligence community and people i've had interactions with that are still in it. His blurting out intelligence that our allies give us (regardless of him being the chief declassifier) and bullying the agencies involved (a well used childish tool he uses to get his way.) Using the office for his own personal gain, latest being Assange lawyers stating trump will give him a full pardon/immunity/whatever if he dishes out dirt on the demos. But what really is most personal to me: if I was to do the things trump does, i'd be in jail. He holds an elected office that magnifies the qualities of the person holding it. With that, the person there is held to a higher standard. With those actions he does holding the seat of POTUS are the same actions that would put me behind bars if I did the same where I am at.

But i'd like to see the sources for what you state on the illegal spy operation on his campaign. If you tap a foreign goverment to get dirt on your political rival, I would call that a *red* flag to get the FBI/CIA checking you out. ESPECIALLY if you owe $$$ someone. Can't hold a job in the intelligence community if you are in debt. And the Ukraine bit wasn't BS. If it was, he shouldn't have used his position in the Executive to bar access to people/records that would have cleared him. He did want the Ukrain President to dish dirt. That's a no no. And of course, amongst alot of people, the demos call trump a liar. You're hard pressed not to hear a lie whenever he talks. And *I* feel he far exceeds the number of lies told by any POTUS before him. I'd welcome evidence to counter that.

I can accept anyone winning the vote to be the next President, regardless if it is by popular vote or electoral one.

As for your last paragraph, the repubs have went through considerable effort to turn the Constitutions writings of 3 separate but equal branches of goverment to do the biding of the executive. trump was not the architect of this but he is the willing lap dog to help implement it. My "hatred" is not focused on the current potus. I have stated who it is in the past here. So, I hope that explains my POV. Couple of things here...


1. Her current (well, at the time) boyfriend was not a dealer. That was her ex-- who was arrested the day before. Allegedly, she had accepted packages of drugs and money from him, neither of which was found in the raid.. and allegedly, the ex boyfriend who WAS the dealer... claimed he was offered a deal in exchange for stating that she was involved in his drug activities. Some released phone calls from the jail have the name of a completely DIFFERENT woman as the person holding his property. The current boyfriend (the one who fired the shots) was not a known dealer and had a legally owned gun, which tells me he's also not a convicted felon.



2. When the story first broke-- the cops stated they had a no-knock warrant and as such, didn't knock. Now-- in the investigation-- they claim otherwise. Likewise, at the time of the event, the neighbors claimed that they never heard the police announce themselves-- now, some of the neighbors claim otherwise. What I find most interesting about this-- is that if they DID knock as they're now claiming.. and they DID announce themselves--- then why were the charges dropped against the boyfriend? That doesn't add up.



I'm about 90 minutes up the road here.. so I've been innundated with all the stories and nuances from day one. Some of it adds up, but a lot of it doesn't.
