Contrary to pouplar rhetoric, it doesn't have Government getting directly involved in providing healthcare - it only makes Government sets rules for the market to prevent opportunistic behavior by companies and consumers. This is not new either - the Government does set rules for other markets such as through antitrust laws and so on.
if it's such a brilliant piece of shit .. er legislation then why are most of the exchanges losing money hand over fist even after the Government made it illegal not to buy it? and yes they made it illegal by using IRS fines .. as in criminal .. not to get it? turns out millennials aren't as stupid as Gruber thought they were. who knew??

The ACA law does allow someone who is basically uninsurable in the mind of an insurance underwriter the opportunity to get health insurance. The key going forward is will BCBS stay or get out. If BCBS chooses to get out of a lot of states in 2018, that would be a major problem.

so this brilliant (sic) legislation is hanging on the edge of the cliff with only one major player left propping it up? that's a fail right u idiot.

i'll bet you don't even have ACA do ya? ill bet you are some libtard junior college wood shop instructor who has insurance from the junior college for shitheads you "teach" at.

of course we know the ghetto rat sissy negro pimp has it so he can keep his ho's on the streets.
i bet he was pissed off when they denied him his weekly grill cleanings at the free dental clinic

1. One more time, United Health Care got out because they were not reimbursed for their what they lost in 2014. Little Marco got a law passed so that the government would not have to honor the agreement with the Risk Corridors. The Risk Corridors (Bailouts) are in place for the first 4 years, that would be 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. To make a long story short UHC was only reimbursed for a 1/3 of what they lost.

2. Even with the individual and employer mandates getting passed they knew that there could be problems with the risk-pools that is why the "Risk- Corridors" was put into the law. Risk-Corridors is also in the Medicare Part D law signed by Bush43. The only difference is in Part D
the bailouts are on-going. In the ACA the bailouts are just for the first for years, then health insurance companies are on their own. The health insurance companies can not be reimbursed for losses after year 2017. Going forward the health insurance companies will have to feel comfortable with risk pools.

3. It's a win because the uninsured health insurance rate has been reduced to 9%, the lowest it has been in decades. People with failing kidneys and failing lungs can still get health insurance, after the actuary event has already occurred!

4. In 2016 I had group health insurance from my employer in. In 2014 I worked for a small company that did not offer group health insurance and went to Health Care.gov. to get a policy.
I submitted one claim for an emergency room visit, most of the claim was covered.

5. I don't teach. I write Cobol programs for companies. How many times do I have to tell you that? . You want to see my W2? It will prove that I am in I/T and do not teach.

6. You would have lost the second bet and you get a push for the first bet. I know you are on vacation. Have fun at the University of Texas spring game.

Former President George W. Bush was an incompetent "C" history student from Yale who left the USA in steepest recession since the "Great Depression". The only time the financial conditions was worse is when FDR took over after Hoover.
