... Good points, but words DO matter.
The lads here surely remind YOU of that fact all the time.
I do believe our Lads got a decent shot of winning against
the Ravens... Gonna be yet-another war - where hopefully
the Steelers come out the Winners! ...

Apparently, you don’t understand American football, but when you talk about a team being "in the hunt for another Super Bowl", making the playoffs is inferred.
It's impossible for a team to be in the hunt for a Super Bowl without making the playoffs.
I know you're just trying to get under my skin with this silly semantics BS, but I absolutely 100% predicted this team would make the playoffs on March 16 of this year.

Tomlin made his worst decision of the season. Punting on 4th and 7 at the Eagles 45, down 2 touchdowns to a team we hadn’t stopped all day was a pussy move. There is a stat analysis out there that measures these things and it was at the 98th percentile of bad decision making.
And again, too predictable on defense. I saw one blitz all game along with this maddening soft freaking zone that good teams just pick apart. How many times do we have to watch secondary or linebackers in this zone with a receiver 5 yards from them and they don’t cover the fucking guy!?!?
Obviously we’ll make the playoffs, but I don’t see Tomlin and company doing anything with that opportunity.

I wasn't expecting them to win yesterday. But yeah, a few dumb coaching moves, a few self-inflicted wounds on offense and a really shitty, game-changing blown call by the refs (personal foul on Eagles happened before the ball was punted - should have been 1st and 10 Steelers).
I'd take them in a rematch with Pickens.
Of the remaining games on the schedule, this was the least damaging loss. Not the end of the world. Or the season.

Agree on that penalty. And the penalty on us when Washington blocked dude off the field was wrong also.
But man, 163 total yards and us only having 2 possessions in the second half is crazy.

True. That was historically crazy. Just wasn't the Steelers' night. Total team loss. Tomlin should take his lumps, but so should Najee and the defense.
Still, they control their own destiny. If they beat the Ravens on Saturday, they win the division and host at least one playoff game. No time for panic just yet.

It was so long ago that I didn’t remember what I posted so I went back and looked. I did NOT predict a playoff appearance (I wish I had; I would look like a genius now). My main point was simply that signing Wilson was a really smart move because it either would upgrade the QB position (which it certainly has) or he would stink, in which case they could just move on from him with essentially nothing lost. It was a no-risk, big potential reward signing.

Sorry tommy, but you are wrong. being "in the hunt for a Super Bowl" doesn't necessarily mean making the playoffs. it was said that KC was in the hunt for their 3rd Superbowl in a row at the start of the season. Almost all teams start out the season being in the hunt for the Superbowl.

No. I was right. Being "in the hunt for a Super Bowl" absolutely means the team makes the playoffs. It's as clear as day. NOBODY says a team is "in the hunt for a Super Bowl" without inferring they make the playoffs.
And no, not "almost all teams start out the season being in the hunt for the Super Bowl". In reality, less than half the teams start the season off like that. Nobody ever said the Jaguars, or the Saints, or the Raiders, or the Panthers, or the Patriots were in the hunt for a Super Bowl this year. Because it's obvious to people who follow the NFL those wouldn't be playoff teams in 2024.
This is starting to feel like trying to tell half of Pittsburgh that Kenny Pickett sucked for two years while they blamed everyone and everything except Kenny for him sucking. Lol. Being in the hunt for a Super Bowl means you're a playoff team - nobody says that if you're not. I predicted the Steelers would make the playoffs on March 16 of this year.
By the way, it wasn't even a big stretch to predict that. The Steelers almost always make the playoffs, thanks to Tomlin.
