"Petroleum is irreplaceable"... well, more accurately, the world is currently heavily invested in and dependent on petroleum. But over the course of the next 200 years, things will change. The advancement of alternative energy is real.

The Tesla Model S can go from zero to 60 faster than any other street-legal car around. That includes Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis and any other crazy exotic sports car you can think of.

An electric car blowing away its gas powered competition! Love it!

Naaahhh, crunchyass. I don't just "dismiss" what you and millsy have to say. I dissect it in excruciating detail, exposing all of your factual misstatements, logical pitfalls and libtard fallacies. And I would never post anything as loutish and uncouth as "your opinion is shit." Only frustrated losers do that.

He's not another political guy in the White House. And folks trust more in someone who is not a politician. I'm sure not everybody does but that's just my opinion.
Trump's business skills will make NO difference to how well the economy does while he is in office. Running a business and running a global economy are totally different. If people trust him, why is his approval rating the LOWEST of any President after 100 days in office????

Business leaders have expressed confidence in him because of his PROMISE to lower corporate tax rates from 35% to 15%. I agree that IF that happens, it will certainly help businesses, although no business pays 35% in taxes after deductions. More like 27%. But the Trump tax plan is built on a house of cards, dependent on the estimated savings from the new Trumpcare health plan (AHCA). If the AHCA does not get put into action, the money available for tax reductions and infrastructure improvements disappears.

BTW, Trump's pledge to keep jobs from moving from the U.S. is also under challenge. Many companies are simply ignoring his promise to keep jobs here.

Man there's nothing like someone swearing that they are just showing all the misstatements you make. While time and time again, making statements about things that you've said. When it happens once, like when talking about filibusters, that's a misstep. But when it keeps happening, you have to think that person can't read or just chooses to see what they want.

I mean can someone really say they are not a loser, when they are so dumb that they post that you are lying. Quote your post. And then try to highlight where you "lied". And in that same quote that they posted, the next line disproves that you "lied". If you pay attention to something and dissect it, you should know these things.

LOL... why didn't you post the entire comment? We were discussing the temporary 7-nation travel ban. You wound up being thoroughly dissected and repudiated! You had pigeonshit splattered all over you!

Seriously? Of all my recent comments, you want to pick a fight over THIS?

Ok, I'll play!

Here is what you originally said to me:

Anyway you read it, you were instructing me to shut up and “stop replying”. Look, this is really simple. You are perfectly within your rights to stop replying to me. You're completely out of bounds to tell me I can't reply to you. Unless you're afraid of free speech and yearn for a society where you're allowed to censor others.

When Austin Ellen called you out for being a pussy, here is how you reacted:

As I just pointed out, you specifically DID instruct me not to comment on your posts. So it's a brazen lie to claim you didn't. Your next sentence doesn't make you any less of a liar. Telling me to “avoid” your post is the same as saying don't comment on it. And it's NOT your right to curtail my speech. To the contrary, it's distinctly un-American for you to attempt to do so.

But look millsy, I'm not upset. I understand where you're coming from. Unlike you, I can feel empathy for others. I can see you're intimidated by facts and logic. You are unable to fight back in kind, so you want to squelch the source of those facts and logic so you don't have to listen to them. They make you uncomfortable. They force you to question your libtard shibboleths. I'm sorry if you can't hold your own in a debate. But that doesn't give you the right to drop your pigeonshit (to borrow crustyass' favorite new metaphor) all over the First Amendment and anyone you happen to disagree with.

OK, I can agree things will change over the next 200 years, and Tesla has showcased the one advantage of an electric car- zero torque acceleration. That's not anything you couldn't do with a hybrid though, and Tesla's high end speed is not so great.

The real problem is energy storage in that huge brick they call a battery. They overcome that, they have a winner. Until then, they lose a lot of money, and the other car makers can copy them easily.

If you tell someone not to comment on your post. Then tell another person, I'm not the master of the universe because I didn't tell someone not to comment on anyone's post just avoid mine. Do we need to break this down for the dumbass in the word. It's not a lie when you are saying what I am saying. Anyone as in I didn't tell the fake truth teller what he could do with anyone. That's trying to be master of the universe. Just that the Trump cock holder could leave my comments alone. That's saying don't comment on my posts. So to say you're lying about something I said is the dumb shit that continues to happen with dumbass people. Maybe this racist, homophobic, anti-semitic, hyper-partisan, dumbass, moron (First Amendment baby) can't see that I never told her I didn't say he can't comment on my post. He likes to infer things. I said as much. I just pointed out that I told him to avoid my posts but never said what he could do with others. Which would have been trying to be master of the universe. But some people only want to see what they want. Oh well.

I disagree. The last time we had this discussion, you said you agreed with me (see link below). Government desperately needs the fiscal discipline and accountability that normally prevails in the private sector. In my view, business acumen is far more preferable in a POTUS than being a lifelong member of the permanent political class. I understand why that class wants to protect its turf by spreading the ridiculous myth that no one outside of its privileged ranks is qualified to run government. But if you care about efficiency, the opposite is true. Trump may not be the best example. IMO Mitt Romney would have been better at applying sound business principles to the federal government. In evaluating their Presidential candidates, Republicans tend to rate Governors higher than Senators, because at least the former have some "executive experience".

By the way, anyone with an MBA has studied macroeconomics. Contrast that with most members of Congress, who have law degrees and lack any background in economics. Presidents don't "run" the global economy. At best they can try to shape US fiscal, monetary, trade and FX policies in ways that benefit our economy and perhaps, in turn, the global economy.

Sheesh, millsy. Let's not split hairs. You getting all twisted up like a pretzel. The word anyone means ANYONE. That can include you. It's an indefinite pronoun. It's singular, not plural. You used it with the word "post" which is also singular, suggesting you meant yourself. If you wanted it to be plural, you should have said "everyone's posts", not "anyone's post".

And you're still trying to be a master of the universe, even if you only want to stop me from commenting on YOUR posts. An assault on one person's speech, however limited you now claim it to be, is an assault on all.

P.S. What's a "fake truth teller" lol? Do you mean a liar?

P.P.S. Who are you calling a "racist, homophobic, anti-semitic, hyper-partisan, dumbass, moron (First Amendment baby)"? Is it me or Austin Ellen? I don't like to infer.

Master of the universe?? You know telling one person they can stop commenting on your posts? Am I like the center of the universe or something? Because if not, that's odd to say that means you're trying to be master of the universe. Parents, stop telling your kids what to do. Professors stop it with your students. Employers you don't tell your employees what they can do. Because me telling one person (a person who I've never had a meaningful conversation with) to avoid me is being master of the universe. I mean if that's that, idk what all that other stuff is because everyone has the right to say whatever they want whenever they want. Yeah that's how it works.

Wait do we live in a world where anyone can say anything to anyone whenever they like? Because that's the only way telling one person to avoid you is seen as an assault on everyone. Can someone call me the n word and I am suppose to let a person do it because to tell them to not talk to me after that is an assault on everyone's free speech? Because that's what I'm hearing. That I can't choose (in this free country) who I want to converse with. That I must sit back and take whatever because to go against that is wrong.

Yeah, millsy. I figured you would go there. Compare posting on an anonymous hooker board with traditional authority relationships. "Yeah, that's how it works." Or cite offensive epithets to justify your “right” to censor everyone. That's original too! This is a private board with its own rules, not yours. Did you notice when you bleat out your lame-ass comments like “your opinion is shit” I don't demand that you leave me alone? Heck, I don't even get all prissy when you call me a "racist, homophobic, anti-semitic, hyper-partisan, dumbass, moron” lol. You really should learn to be grateful that I even take the time to TRY and straighten out your sorry lib-retarded ass. Of course you can converse/not converse with anyone you please. Nobody said you can't. You can also put anyone here on ignore. But you can't tell me or anyone else to stop commenting on your posts. Got that, snowflake?

Irony:

Saying real world standards don't apply because it's a private board, while using real world standards.

The other irony, telling a person they can't tell someone what to do, while telling that person what they can and can't do.

I have the right to tell someone to fuck off. People have the right to tell me their opinions on that.

I agreed with part of your statement in post #40, that the government had many people in do-nothing jobs that could be eliminated without harming the functioning of the government. I went on to say that I differed with you as to whether or not Trump would do anything to change that. That question is still up in the air. Trump is hardly the first President who has complained about the number of federal workers before becoming President and yet little is done about it.

I totally agree with your last statement, but it is the Cabinet and the advisors who provide the economic policies of the country. Trump ran a large, diverse company, but it was mostly real estate oriented, building hotels and casinos. A much different decision-making process than what Trump is now facing and I must say he has sought out the counsel of many top-notch U.S. business leaders and has permanent advisors who seem to have their act together. Before taking office NAFTA needed to be replaced. Now -- not so bad. Before the election China was a currency manipulator. Now -- not true. I still say that Trump is continuing his education in Politics 101, understanding what he can and can't do, and understanding where he was previously incorrect.
