This song sounds like a slower new age version of this song...

BEASTS OF BOURBON
PSYCHO
www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy9oLsN5qzk
One twisted song.
Classic Aussie underground.
Someone said, if the Stones dumped Jagger and hired
Johnny Cash as their singer after he had suffered a
closed head injury, they would sound something like
the Beast Of Bourbon.
Or Porter Wagoners evil twin.

JACQUES BREL

The Frenchman he ripped off for the song.
We had joy we had fun as we ripped off this
Frenchmans song.

Jacques had a funny sarcastic tone, and was so
much better.

it reminds me of the video I saw once of a song about a milk carton that runs away from home?

but that's way more recent than the dinosaur jr shit. the comments on there were talking about the week punk broke. how is dinosaur jr punk? that shit is not punk is it? please correct me if I'm wrong...

Dr Junior

Mudhoney
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbmULwkTXio

AND

Red Kross
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-suoTLZkoQ

Were pre Grunge bands just a little before or the same time as
Nirvana. None had anywhere near the same success.
The year punk broke I think was a doc movie about
Grunge and Nirvana breaking into mainstream music
in 1991 with their album Nevermind, not their first by the way.
The year punk really broke was 1976 with the Ramones first album.
Just my opinion.

GREEN RIVER
www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuK9hBGGyDg
Was really the first Grunge band though 1985

I myself never considered Grunge to be Punk Rock.

There were quite a few others as well.
Of all of the more minor bands Mudhoney was probably the best.
All be it none were very tuneful though.

Some of the modern bands sort of defy any categories
like weezer, wilco, modest mouse, the kills, the killers.
Just hard to pigeon hole them.
