Think Christ. That fucker came back and people fought wars over him, it lead to crazy ass churches, and shit done in his name which he wouldn't have wanted (if you believe he existed). So yeah, leave the dead alone, and block up their tombs with heavier stones.

I know!
Some guy drinks way too much wine...falls asleep in a cave...is pronounced dead and mourned...3 days later the fucker wakes up, wanders out with the worlds worst hangover...and is anointed a god.
Makes about as much sense as a hoogar raising her rates cause she isn't getting much business...

Not everyone is into spinners, or bbw or thick or average. Some don't like blondes, and others only see them. Same thing for brunettes or red heads. Some may only take AA providers where others won't even give them a shot. Some want huge tits and don't care if they are man made or nature made while others only want nature made.
There are so many choices out there that I haven't even mentioned. This hobby is for fun, and everyone has in their mind what they are interested in and want.
I know that I'm not every man's ideal, the same with VictoriaLyn or Brittany1980 or JennsLolli (only reason I mentioned them is because they are on last couple pages). Men are turned on by different things. They call who they are attracted to and usually ignore those that don't fit their fantasy or who don't fit what they want. There is no reason to judge anyone by their choices.

The importance of Christianity isn't in Christ, it's in the evolving narrative itself. Who gives a shit about what did and did not happen. It's the story that's important. Best quote on the best that religion might have to offer, by Faulkner.
“No one is without Christianity, if we agree on what we mean by the word. It is every individual's individual code of behavior, by means of which he makes himself a better human being than his nature wants to be, if he followed his nature only. Whatever its symbol—cross or crescent or whatever—that symbol is man's reminder of his duty inside the human race. Its various allegories are the charts against which he measures himself and learns to know what he is. It cannot teach man to be good as the textbook teaches him mathematics. It shows him how to discover himself, evolve for himself a moral code and standard within his capacities and aspirations, by giving him a matchless example of suffering and sacrifice and the promise of hope.”
Now, I am not religious at all. I did my time growing up in the bible belt and made my separation at seventeen. But, the beauty to be had in the narrative remains. I have issues with many things within the narrative, the idea of a fall, some locus of god-like power outside of existence proper, but I rather like the idea of Christ.
Also, I'm just bored, waiting for mad men. Only two more episodes. Peggy better stop being SUCH an ungrateful bitch. I'm starting to dislike her. Don needs win one; its getting painful to watch. I'm totally invested in Don this season. I'm a sucker for the under dog, no matter what has come before.

Christianity, like many religious doctrines, give mortal man hope beyond their mortality. They can spend their lives protected by the thought that they never die. Churches have capitalized on this for hundreds of years both financially & in controlling the various populations actions.
Some of the doctrines of Christianity are good things. In their base belief. When man comes in and starts modifying the bible for his own good is when it becomes seedy.
I did grow up christian. And most of the pastors and "true" believers acted as if they wrote the Bible not that they read it.
The only reason you (or I if I believed) is because we were raised in that society. Were we raised in say Thailand, we would be just as sure of Budda.
I subscribe to George Carlins view on the afterlife that all.of our souls go to a big garage in New Jersey.

I grew up Christian; it's just that I didn't throw the baby out with the bath water.
I'm not sure of anything, and I, personally, don't have any need to be sure. I am very Taoist is that way, whatever is, is, and will continue to be with or without my knowledge or consent. I have no need to figure out how many angels can fit on the head of a pin ( an old scholastic argument) What Faulkner was talking (the thing I quoted) was not about some silly desire to live forever, it was about those things which give us a desire to be better in life. I think the best way to interpret Christ is as every man's story. The story of trying to be better than you are today. And you try and you try, and then suddenly, one day, you are. Not perfect, just better.

Nah, I'm not certain either...and I am bored as well as tomorrow is a work day & I am working on a presentation I have to give at 10AM...so this gives me a bit of a break between my real work.
Faulkners work is interesting, however...one thing you will notice is that in this piece that you quoted he takes it upon himself to state mans "goodness" is indeed Christianity....I differ in that one doesn't have to be religious per se to be a good person. Or, if one were to translate it differently, he isn't talking about Christian religion at all...
And the part I've highlighted in red can be seen in most any Disney movie...or better yet, Fievel the Mouse...
I know you are trying to be deep & well read...and I am not mocking you. You see I just try my use humor in my arguments. All I am saying is religion is not neccessarily the root of mans good. But it is often claimed that way.
What the bible...the symbol and defining text of Christianity teaches us...is that if we don't follow rules we will suffer tremendously...and if we follow the rules we will live forever...their are myriad examples in the bible of this. Its basically a fear mongering document...
“No one is without Christianity, if we agree on what we mean by the word. (now we have Faulkners definition) It is every individual's individual code of behavior, by means of which he makes himself a better human being than his nature wants to be, if he followed his nature only. Whatever its symbol—cross or crescent or whatever—that symbol is man's reminder of his duty inside the human race.
