If you are going to rationalize the face tats by saying you can cover them with makeup, why not instead just use temporaries when you want them? Change your look to suit your outfit, your mood, etc. etc.

Ugh face tattoos. Unless you have like stars behind the ears which can be covered by hair I'd say no way do not get them.

Tattoos really aren't edgy and cool anymore. It isn't "brave" or "different" to get them.
Which is probably now why people are getting them on the face since it is quite possibly the only way to be different concerning tattoos anymore.
But the impact on your ability to work many jobs and obtain raises due to visible tattoos can become readily apparent.

Business' for the most part want a clean image. (obviously there are exceptions I met a judge that had a spider tattoo on his hands, but he was badass because he got it in an age when tats were not the cultural norm)
But he is an exception. Just a small piece of anecdotal evidence.

You want to get tatted go right ahead, but visible tattoos are just a foolish endeavor. I agree with Fratelli, use temporary tattoos on your face and then change them at your leisure.

Some tattoos on the body can be sexy, I still like the "tramp stamp" but an abundance of them can look like an artistic mishmash.

They're called "Jobstoppers" for a reason.

well it wouldn't actually be much of a concern if the person getting one does not desire a white collar job in the first place.

i agee one shouldn't get any tattoo just to be "cool" or "edgy" or whatever because eventually you'll grow out of that phase.

but I also want to say again a girl can cover a tattoo with make up so it wouldn't have to keep her from getting a white collar job if that what she wanted. There are plenty of men and woman with high paying jobs who have tattoos they have to cover up everyday, so its not like its a new concept just cause its above the neckline.

just like there are people who never went to college or dropped out but still carved out a successful life, there are plenty of tattooed professionals in the world

besides alot of you are assuming he or she would seek out a high paying white collar job. there are other careers in life one can pursue and not have to worry about not look clean cut enough for the job. not everyone want a white collar job and it not that only thing available.
