Guys who want to watch every penny their wife spends, are asking for trouble. Even if she stays home with the kids and takes care of the house, she needs to know that she is not a slave to the guy. Having her own money, without being questioned, goes a long way to maintaining a long term relationship and trust. That is assuming that she knows how to handle money, and does't just throw it away at the boats; then you have a problem.

I concur. Bills $ + Saving $ + Spending $ are just a few factors I would weigh in when determining what it would take to quit.
