It's a big generational issue as well. For those of us that are a bit older we remember the initial outbreak and the lack of drugs to address HIV. We watched many entertainers succomb to the diease. Many of us knew people that contracted and died from AIDS. This generation of young people have a completely different context than we did. I can't remember the last time a famous person died as a result. I have not know anyone that died from AIDS in over a decacde. That plus the other things stated in this thread contribute to the speard of unprotected sex.

Rick....... The blood supply problem has been taken care of years ago. As far as medical workers getting accidental sticks, the transmission rate for that is really low. Less than one percent. No disrespect to those folks. Accidental sticks with Hep c would be something to worry about though. But for the most, most, most part, only bad people get Hiv.

Over one million people die of this disease in Africa every year, and nearly two million worldwide. I would say the "heterosexual pandemic" is far from over, and you're a fucking idiot for believing anything short of that. Granted, Fumento may have some respectable points on the subject, but arguing that it's only a threat to "junkies, gays and blacks", is nothing short of ridiculous. Here are some quick stats:

In Western Europe, 40% of all reported HIV cases were contracted through heterosexual contact. That statistic also remains true for China. In Eastern Europe that number rises to 48%. In the U.S., that number has dropped from 32% in 2002, to about 12% currently.

Let me ask you kids something. How many whites, Hispanics or asians do you know, who don't use needles, and aren't screwing blacks,, have Hiv? None right? Where's all these normal people dying.right and left?


One other thing, gg allin rules. He was probably a prime aids risk though. He mentioned aids in a couple of his songs. Like "die when you die" and "i kill everything I fuck" look those songs up, they're classics.

White males and females outrank every other group listed besides blacks, and it's not a huge gap. Also, take note of the heterosexual contact numbers.

Considering the percentage of whites to blacks it is a substantial difference. Population whites have a lot more in numbers altogether than blacks. So based on that information percentage wise the black population is effected by HIV and Aids at a higher rate.

So based on the website you put up F it looks like about half the black population has either HIV or Aids.

Why are blacks contracting it at a much higher rate?

Do this....google maps the reference address you are quoting stats from....zoom in...tell me if the "office" of this Aids prevention "charity" doesn't look mysteriously like some guys apartment...

Not sure why you think 16,000 is half of 38 million but.....let me try that math for you:

38,000,000 / 16,759 = .04% of the black population

223,553,265 / 9471 = .004% of the white population.
