During a COVID or flu epidemic, do you feel that going into one restaurant will be any safer than going into a different restaurant? You cannot look at someone and tell if they are in the contagious phase, you cannot see if the kitchen is obeying safe food handling procedures, you can only take personal precautions such as a mask, washing hands, etc. to diminish your exposure to the disease. The basics are the same. And the ladies have financial incentive to lie, so asking is worthless.
