Bottom line, some reasonable precautions in using burner phones, etc is a good thing. The likelihood that the government will expend the resources needed ala "Enemy of the State" to track you for calling hookers, is remote.

Yep, good call on the GE Stock Stanfeld. If the company CEO is a good "crony"/buddy of the Obama Admin, really good chances they'll make LOTS of money.

But, the likelihood the Feds are going to amass the resources needed to track your burner phone and correlate it with the credit card purchases at a restaurant so they can locate you when you are trying to meet up with a provider.. is fucking zip.

Just to be clear, if the NSA was looking for you, almost none of the OPs ideas would be the way they would find you. And yes, there is a practical reason the phones are called burner phones. They should be destroyed regularly if you are using them for a reason that would interest the NSA.
