We will never win the "war on drugs" because too many people use the.

We will never win the "war on poverty" because Democrats need to keep certain groups poor so they can continually promise them something for nothing, thus winning their vote.

LBJ had that figured out over 50 years ago, and by all accounts it is working.

LBJ initiated the war on poverty because, unlike you jackwagons, he thought fighting poverty was the right thing to do. Same reason he got the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed. Even though he knew it would turn the "solid south" from a Democratic stronghold into the red sea that it is now and will be for generations.

Explain that one, if you can.

So, since the War on Poverty was such a noble cause, and since we spent $20 trillion in our attempt to eradicate it, why has there been no noticeable effect?

The answer to that is easy.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964, not to be confused with the Civil Rights Act of 1957, was passed because of support by the GOP. The democrats were not going to pass it. In fact the democratic party was filibustering the bill. Republican Evertt Dirksen got it passed and LBJ gave him that credit.

Do you fight STD by fucking? That is what LBJ did with war on poverty. Instead of expanding the job base and creating independent people. He gave away money, food, and housing to people who never learned how to hold a job. People didn't need to go to school and mothers never needed fathers anymore. The drop out rate, single mothers, and unemployment can be traced to the "war on poverty".

You need to bone up on history there Admiral. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed because LBJ was determined to pass it. He made it happen, not the GOP. Read "The Passage of Power" by Caro if you can put down your comic books long enough.

By the way, is your brain short-circuiting again? In paragraph one, you attempt to take credit for the passage of the act. In paragraph two, you attack it by making a bunch of unsupportable assertions unless Rush Limbaugh, the Daily Caller and Deadbart are being cited as reliable sources by anybody except braindead halfwits like you.
