reviews
Some of us joined to just read what others wrote and take advice from their experiences...Suppose to be the freedom of the this site. No one should be offended by someone not writing reviews. I have been asked to write reviews for providers and decline because I do not want others to know whom I have chosen to spend time with..have to agree with Gemma..
However one might conclude that (mal) you might get a little feed back from others since you are such an introvert and stay so silent...LOLOLOLOL Just sayin...LOL For me I appreciate those that do write reviews and comments cause that all helps those of us just looking to get a nice piece of pie...LOL That's why all of us are here....

On here, reviews are rewarded with PA, if the gent doesn't have it already. I think 80% of the reviews wouldn't even be written if it weren't for that. And because we know the ladies usually see the reviews, and know our recommendation, it's hard to be harsh. Even if the lady wasn't that great. So I'm sure a lot of yeses really were more like maybes or even no. Makes it hard to take any review seriously.
I came from a different board where they had a few public reviews but most were in the gents section, which was very hard to get into. You had to have multiple recommendations from well know providers. Gents could be more honest, and those reviews I trusted. Especially if it was from someone I knew pretty well. With that, we didn't need to have pages and pages of reviews. 2 or 3 from credible sources was enough. Other guys might chime in with the occasional I had great time with her too. No need to write a whole new review because you weren't rewarded for it anyway.
So a veteran who doesn't write a lot of reviews seems normal to me. Why should he? He doesn't need the PA. If there's already dozens of good reviews on a lady, what difference would one more make? Maybe somebody throws one every 3-6 months or so. As CK said, things can change, but I really don't see the point of hundreds of reviews. Especially when 80% are just for PA, or just to gain favor with the lady.
I don't like writing "no" review but I have. And it has saved some guys some time and money. I won't write an ECCIE "no" review on a lady who is an active participant here. Because she'll know about it before I even hit submit. And it's likely to cause more drama than it's worth. Generally I won't even write a review on a maybe. So for the most part, the only reviews I do write, are for ladies that I really had a good time with. Not just fluff for PA.
In that regard, I wish people would write fewer reviews and only write them when they mean them.

First off, thanks for some very interesting posts from everyone
However, personally, I am waiting to hear to from the one and only, the true epitome of cutting edge insight on this subject. And that would of course be...
From the man, who never needs an introduction...but always seems to want one...Mr jan-w himself!

You wish people would write less reviews?
I wrote a review of KLN, and she has about 100 reviews, similar. Is that the kind of review you wish I didn't write?
Im being a smartass to make a point. You wrote one of KLN too. Very similar.
I am trying to make the point that its up to the hobbyist on writing reviews or not, not really up to the others.
This was a good thread started by mw

Ok vk, doesn't seem like you are really interested in Mw's post as much as doing whatever you are doing to jan w. you are somebody like Mw, who has a ton of posts but never reviews. What do you have to say to add to this thread??

Yeah well...
I do have my standards....LOL
I think if I may add to what VK said, there have been a number of guys who have thrown this were are your reviews? and who are you to speak with no reviews? attitude around and for some reason I see none of them in this thread. In particular one who has made a disparaging remark about a very nice provider and so far I must regard his remark as baseless as he does not seem to want to share how he formed his negative opinion.. As far as I'm concerned he has absolutely zero credibility and won't have until he gets off his high horse and explains his nasty comment.
Otherwise I have enjoyed reading the opinions put forth here and find them to be informative and well thought out. I'm really thinking I should give Big Deal another chance...

Yes, and the main reason I wrote that review was to gain PA. Which is EXACTLY my point. Not saying Nikki wasn't great. Just that she has plenty of great reviews already. So without the PA carrot, I probably wouldn't have added mine.
You seem like a pretty straight shooter. I can read your review and a few others, and make my determination about Nikki. Anybody else can come along and read your review and those few others. Is it really necessary for me to write one, and then another guy, and another, and another. Can't most people figure out what they need to in 3 or 4 reviews. I'm talking honest reviews. Not ones written from a WK perspective. I'd rather see 3 good, honest reviews than 100 that are probably fluff pieces. Takes too long to weed through the 100 for the 3 accurate ones
If you write honest reviews then yes, write all the reviews you want. But to the guys that are motivated to write reviews primarily to impress the lady, yeah, we could use less of those.
But ECCIE is a culture based on reviews. They represent board cred for the writer and performance cred for the subject But if the OP has plenty of board cred, already has premium access, and doesn't feel like adding to the review pile, then who cares!

I decided that I wouldn't write reviews since I don't see providers that haven't been reviewed. I doubted that I could add anything new to provide insight to others. But I guess that I am always open to writing one if something really outstanding would happen positive or negative and the community should know. But I must say that I am very appreciative of those hobbyists who take their time to write a quality review. It is one of the filters (to see the services provided and the professionalism displayed) that I use to determine which providers get my money and more especially my time. Again thanks to those that enjoy sharing their adventures.

Then maybe that is what draws the critiscism for not writing reviews. In other words, if i write a review and it is hijacked or picked apart, or i am personally attacked by someone who does not write reviews, i might say "fuck you and your opinion, you don't write reviews, so why fuck with mine."
Also, i do think the reviews are the most important part of this board for me. Drama posts in coed, or snarky back and forth in coed is worthless to me in pursuit of the hobby. It can be interesting and fun, but not really valuable information.
So if you don't post review, but you are perceived to be criticizing, or hijacking reviews of another, you should not be surprised to hear.."fuck your opinion, you never review"

I'd agree with this (and I selectively quoted Johnny). Ultimately, reviews are the currency of Eccie; for the guys, the reviews are a huge reason to come here and do due diligence. For the girls, the reviews are marketing.
My opinion - and again, it's MY opinion - is that those who review are putting something into the pot. Those that don't, don't.

But when i pointed out you wrote a review of KLN who has tons of reviews you say...."Yes, and the main reason I wrote that review was to gain PA. Which is EXACTLY my point. Not saying Nikki wasn't great. Just that she has plenty of great reviews already. So without the PA carrot, I probably wouldn't have added mine."

I think you are helping me make my point. Whether a hobbyist chooses to write a review or not, it's up to them, not somebody else. So lets don't criticize each other because we don't meet each others standards. Your standard for when to review is a bit confusing

Then again Kshunter....those of us who pay for our access, are the ones who help pay for this site to exist in the first place. Without that...no board, no reviews
Basically...if you don't pay for the pot, to begin with...then you have don't have anything to put into
Those that combine paying for access and reviews...kudos to them
I think the bottom line is...of course reviews are extremely helpful. However for anybody to take the position that without contributing reviews, a person is not contributing to this board is plan and simply ludicrous at one level...and at another level total absurdity
Of course a small minded individual would not understand...there are many different levels that gentlemen play at, in the hobby.
None of these levels are any better or worse than other levels...just different.
For example, I have develop a very small group of lades, that I have seen for an extended period of time. I go for overnight visits...and out of town adventures.
Due to the nature of our business friendships...the rates, type of play and time periods, are both very personal and confidential. These type of deals, IMO, are not something that neither I or the ladies prefer to discuss out in the open board.
Is that right or wrong. Neither...it is simply personal.
Do I need to explain that to anyone on this board...of course not. Do I become amuse when someone, who apparently has no knowledge or experience about playing in this end of the pool, but continues to post "no review, no creditibity....oh yea, I like to have fun with that type of person, it can be extremely entertaining to me.
As I have said before...there are many levels to play at in this hobby. None of these levels are a sign of anything...beyond a personal preference.
The key is to have fun and play safely. Reviews are outstanding...but they are certainly not the only way to achieve these goals.

And what exactly are you paying for, VK? I mean, the only things that are off limits to people who neither pay nor review are the ROS parts of the reviews and the Men's Lounge.
Seems to me that what you are paying FOR....is the reviews.
If there were no reviews, you wouldn't pay. Hence, the review section is the marketable section of the board.
I've got no axe to grind with you, but as I said - it's my opinion and it doesn't have to be yours.

Kshunter...no axe to grind either...and never said my opinion was the right, simply my opinion
Sorry, but you are dead wrong...at least in my case...to say I'm paying solely to gain access to the reviews, or that it is the most valuable part of the board for me personally..
Quite frankly, I spend very little time in the reviews section. I enjoy being able to post "private comments" as well as reading them. I, of course enjoy the M/L. And gain both knowledge and entertainment value out of the Co-ed lounge. And I enjoy my trips to the dark side of this board, i.e. Spiderhole.
You may see the review section of this board as the most marketable section...as I am sure many do.
But as many things in life are...there are no absolutes. I completely understand how critical it is for many guys the review section is.
But to say it is the most marketable section of the board for everyone...well that's just not the case, as I, and I know there are others, simply don't go there very often.
I do view my paying for access, and sharing, discussing and even arguing about the hobby to be my way of contributing
Getting back to the theme of this thread, as oppose to what I personally, am or am not paying for ...can individuals share just as much info to board members, without being a reviewer. Of course, it really isn't that complicate of an issue

That is exactly what I mean.I was criticizing FLUFF for PA, not reality for PA. Any real, honest review is just fine.
If a guy leaves out the negative, over inflates the positive and in general give the lady a grade she didn't deserve. And the only reason he did it is maybe next time he gets an extra half hour. Or a couple Bs added to the BJ. Then he's not doing his fellow hobbiest any favors. Are those really the kind of reviews you want to read?
I'll simplify my standard for you....
Real = write it if your want
Fake= don't bother
