Pat Summerall RIP

I read somewhere a while back that Summerall was a drinker of epic proportions and that he drank while broadcasting. I can't remember where I read this but people who worked with him were just astonished at the amount of booze he could put away, live on the air, and still be solid as a rock in his commentary. Might be bullshit, I don't know.

I bet the Masters Reich Leaders or rules committee, or whatever they're called, keep a tight rein on copyright in relation to anything having to do with the tournament. You just know they wouldn't want anything on Youtube showing the azaleas on the golf course....beneath them.

Pat Summerall was terrific! Sad to see him go. But of all the offensive remarks in this thread, the worst was whatever idiot who said Joe Buck was a great announcer. He's an idiot, and wouldn't have any job in broadcasting if it weren't for his dad, who was a great announcer.
