Strawberry Boones Farm and good old American. Yum, or you can supplement Natural Light beer for the "wine." It is great served on the redwood deck of my 1971 mobile home listening to Bobby Bare sing "Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life!" Good times!

Considering, I would probably have to take out a second mortgage on my house to buy what Phantom suggested, Boones is sounding kind of good lol. Joke..hate that crap and puked up enough of it at 13 to be an expert. Nice to see you too Buzzworm!
My parents celebrated 44 not 41 lol years of marriage last night and the food was rather interesting. Mostly Italian, but some Thai thrown in there, so I am burping up Veal, Pasta, bread, olive oil, and coconut shrimp soup lol.

Actually, the port is somewhat expensive at around $150.00 (USD) a bottle while the Claret is rather inexpensive around $20 (USD) per 750ml. For the cheeses, well, their prices are varied but the Cabot Private Stock is around $6 for 8oz, or 75¢ per oz. while the English Farmhouse Cheddar is around $40.00 (USD) per pound from Zingerman's mail order.
As for Boones Farm.... uh . I had enough of that in HS along with the 40's, Ripple or legal White Lightin-Everclear. Except with Everclear, when mixed with all the other clear liguors, along with Gatorade and Hawaiian Punch makes some good trash-can punch that even ole Punchy would like.
Of course, by then it won't matter what cheese you eat, you won't remember it anyway.

Oh, well shit....not bad at all. My favorite wine is Quintessa, so the 150 is around the same range as that. Cheeses, never paid more than 20 bucks, with most ranging from 6-14. Do you have a website where you purchase most of your selections? I prefer ordering online if I have already sampled something. Some of the wine tastings that Martin Wine Cellar puts on, are actually pretty decent selection wise, and you can purchase or order at each tasting event. Tickets are under 30 bucks for the monthly ones, and 65 when they actually spring for a hotel and do the big tasting once a year.

Zingermans.com is where I order the cheeses. As for the Ports and Clarets, I usually go to the local liguor/package store to purchase those. If my preferred local store does not have what I am looking for, I will sometimes order from the actual producer, which can be pricey but worth it to me since I have never had a botched order.

Thanks love. I have 4 birthdays coming up for friends, so I may check that out if I can't drive to Ocean Springs. I really just love helping that guy out when I can since he was a local who lost his home.
Have you tried any of the Biltmore Wines? I've been there 3 times, and now I think they may even ship. The first time I went ( 11 years old lol) you had to purchase there or find a specialty store that carried them, but very good wine!!

No, I have not been to the Biltmore in NC nor tried their wines, but I will try to see if I can find a place locally that carries their wines. From the website, it looks like a place I would very much enjoy visiting. Thanks for the link and the suggestion.

Any time. The Inn started taking bookings for guests after my first two trips, but I did get up there for Valentine's Day one year, and it was awesome...all inclusive package. You would love the tour of the main house, gardens, and of couse...the wine tasting at the end. It is actually one of my favorite places in the U.S. second only to Ruby Falls.

It is about taste, and nothing more. It is far too sweet, which is the same reason I don't care for many other sweet wines.
Still, that does not mean I have to chew with my mouth open, yell at a waiter, or can't go to wine tastings, French Restaurants, and eat with the correct knife and fork. I am also just as comfy at a Crawfish Boil sucking heads and drinking beer though. I can't even date the same guy for more than six months, so food is the same for me. I am always looking to try new cuisine, and we do wine and cheese parties at least twice a month where I live. Not really much to do, since I moved outside the city.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am not much for the Sushi stuff, but do appreciate Smoked Salmon, Goat Cheese, and capers.

Funny, we pretty much like the same stuff. Only thing is I have a habit of washing everything down with a little "Jack Daniels" even the wine, lol. Actually a lot of "Jack Daniels" .

I think I'm in love...
It's refreshing to see someone that has class without pretentiousness. I'm going to like it here.
Now, somewhere I developed a craving for wine and cheese, well, off to lunch.

Just had this tonight...Duck Curry with Pineapple, Mozzarella and Olive Oil. I was drinking Vodka, so no clue on the wine that would go with it, but it was gooooooood.
