Vouchers would solve this problem. The teachers wouldn't strike since the odds are the students would just go to a different school and they would then be out of a job. There would be school alternatives for the students to go to.

Union "Job Security" is translated to "can't get rid of the dead wood, slackers, and otherwise incompetents."

The more Chicago sticks it to property owners and corporate tax payers; the better for states like Texas, Utah, Colorado, and such.

I wish Deadfish Rahm would give em their 20% hike AND guarantee job security for the union losers.
