But unfortunately, because what she does is marginalized in society and judged harshly, people think she either 'deserved' it somehow, or make jokes about it. She was someone's daughter, mother, sister, aunt. I wonder how people would feel if that was THEIR daughter who got murdered. I doubt they'd be joking or laughing about it.

Yes I knew about that term. I learned about it after watching that Lifetime movie Why My Daughter. Yes, it is very sad that they called it that. Everyone is equal. A life is still a life. The people who joke about it just don't have a heart and they need God in their life.

I am very disturbed by the lack of compassion. Particularly by those ladies who have posted callous comments. My heart goes out to her family and I only hope that he is locked away for a very long time for this heinous crime.

the callous and insensitive responses to this thread are unsettling, yet accurately reflective of how society views all sex workers. I doubt these jokes would be funny if it was your mom, sister, cousin or even your ATF. Doesn't matter their race or occupation, but a life was lost. Had it not been for his previous arrest and it being easy to catch him, I doubt the police force would have put forth much effort. SMH.
