Polls only show opinions at this time. A lot can happen between now and election day. Many predictions that this will turn into the biggest mud slinging election campaign ever seen.
A little less than 7 months to go before election day. That means 7 more months of Trump rage until he is put in the dumpster of American politics.

In 2016 polls missed the trend in certain states of Trump coming on strong. Polls at the state level are done much less frequently than national polls. But right now Biden is trending in the right direction in most polls. But as you say a lot can happen in 6+ months.

Who said Trump did not stand a chance of being the Republican nominee in 2024? Trump has his loyal base which makes up about 30% of Republican voters. That is a hard hurdle for his competitors to overcome. And the could not do so.
In 2020 Trump, the incumbent, trailed Biden in almost every poll. In 2012, Obama and Rommey were in a virtual tie heading to election day. In 2004 Bush led Kerry by a few points. Obviously being the incumbent means little in the polls.
In 2020 Biden won the election by winning over the vote of suburban voters that had helped Trump to victory in 2016. This voting bloc will continue to support Biden over Trump in 2024. Biden may have lost some support among Black and Hispanic voters but they will still overwhelmingly support Biden over Trump.
When voters fill out their ballot in November they will have the choice of Biden, who has been far from an ideal POTUS, or Trump, who in the opinion of many voters is evil incarnate.

I do not look at this as a Trump vs Biden ompsrison.
Make no mistake, both of these men are deeply flawed in different ways.
I would rather choose based on expected policy decisions and their anticipated implementation through executive actions.
Both have a track record. Ignore each man's personality traits, their peccadillos and indecencies, and focus on what we except from them going forward based on what we know they have done.

No amount of nebulous gibberish makes that true. It is an opinion. A wrong, poorly informed one. That said, in no way shape or form are the Democratic party and the current executive good governance.
You are suffering from the illusion of choice.

The individuals involved or simply plug-in and interchangeable. It’s about the party platform. The democratic party platform is the largest corporate subsidy package ever proposed and I’m not even sure the GOP has one

Projection is never, or will never be a winning debate point. No doubt the Democratic Party’s corporate oligarchy enabled fascism is not a good government. However, it is slightly better than a totalitarian despotism offered by the opposition.

In all seriousness, I have never clicked on that site before now. It was actually very informative. Thanks for providing.

A pole is simply how people feel at that particular snapshot in time. It means nothing concerning the future. Absolutely nothing.
Until we do away with voting machines and used hand Mark hand counted paper ballots with a secure and transparent chain of custody or at least make the software coding open source, you can never be a fair or forensically examined election result.

What are “these polls”?
This intentionally obtuse disingenuous nonsense should be removed from the platform. As well as the people who continually disseminate it.

.
As I said previously, the trend in polls can be important. A single poll taken by itself is rarely meaningful. The trend in polls towards Trump in 2016 was meaningful. And largely overlooked.
I usually find your comments very insightful but I disagree with your last paragraph. When various state elections are conducted by voting machines and when results are challenged multiple hand vote recounts always confirm the results, I will continue to support the use of voting machines.

... Actually, me comment was "those polls" ... Please try
to follow along - and if you don't fancy the thread topic,
no need for yer boorish rants here.
This thread surely concerns Joe Biden's "popularity"...
Did the Monitour's make you a Forum Overseer??
You seem to have insults for others in every thread.

The OP produced nothing to back up his claim.
Other member posters have provided 10 or more recent polls showing Biden is gaining.

... Biden is "gaining"? ... Gaining WHAT?? ...
Shouldn't Joe Biden be waaay ahead??
... Ny Times/Siena Poll shows that "Bidenomics" is a Disaster!
More than half of the respondents say it's a piss-poor economy
- with almost 65% sayin' America is on the WRONG track.
This aint Fox News - it's the New York Times making the claim.
Ya know... the LIBERAL Ny Times...

The next few months will be all about controlling the spin on the court cases and the narrative - what will the general population see, hear and conclude?
I don't know that I think Joe will be any more popular- but I do think that it's going to take a herculean effort to make payoffs sound like a good idea, and there are so many pitfalls to avoid-it's going to take a masterclass in bullshittery to navigate.
queue: "KellyAnn Conway- pick up the white courtesy phone. "
