Also, the background check doesn't include the make/model/serial of the gun. That info is captured on your 4473 when you fill it out, but that information stays with the FFL that performed the check, it doesn't go to the FBI or the ATF.

I agree there should be training, but disagree with a license, which is why I think gun safety and marksmanship should be taught in schools.

As for a "firearm insurance". I have USCCA. But the point of the USCCA membership isn't to pay out the person I shoot, it's to defend me if I shoot someone. That's not what the insurance HR 127 demands will do.

Which is unconstitutional. The only right you lose when becoming a felon is the right to vote, and that is actually outlined in the actual amendment it's written in (I think the 14th Amendment?).
