Blu Max highlighted and celebrated the whole "street" scene of PGH and he also tried to enter the "orthodox" hobby-scene with varied results. He had a noticeable "brand" to his posts which many guys enjoyed reading. Like with many hobby-adventurer's the old saying "Don't believe everything you read, and believe only half of what you see...." applies. He was a "street" player. "Generally" amusing but not behavior many guys would want to replicate in their own hobby-patterns....

He was legendary in his story telling. One ho does not a liar make, but it was entertaining to read his reviews, fact or fiction.

I agree, he was a complete scumbag, dangerous to the hobby and I'm personally glad he disappeared. Not everyone enjoyed his retarded antics and posts. He was truly one of the deplorables.

Blu-Max posts were legendary because here we are years later, still talking about him and remembering them. His stories were hysterical, and the shit he would do, have happen to him, were a ball to read.

I can't say I'm surprised that some ho he wrote a review on (which I'm sure was full of twists and turns) said he was fat, slob, ED, low-balling, etc., The girls have their story and we have ours, and usually only 2 people know what really happen. More importantly - there were a lot of people who found his stories wildly entertaining; I was one of them. One of the few reviewers who could make you want to laugh, vomit, and want to quit the hobby at the same time.

No one will remember my reviews for very long after I've written them; same for almost every one of us. But his stuff still makes me laugh, thinking about it now.

"dangerous".... not to me. Nothing he ever did put me at any risk of additional harm. I don't know about any others.

Also - I have zero knowledge about whether any of it was true, happened, or not. I know it was hilarious.

He just called out what any thinking person knew was already going on and documented it. His antics might be stupid, but the reality is that kind of shit goes go on. If nothing else, he made for wide open eyes, which is something we tend to tragically forget sometimes.

That said, I generally used him as a compass to knock potentials off the list of possibilities I'd get anywhere near. Every storyteller has utility.
