To Providers: how can some of you be out of business due to financial difficulties?

Otherwise, it's always been:
1 - A way to survive
2 - A way to make extra money
3 - A way to satisfy a nyphomaniac lifestyle
4 - Any combination of the above 3

When economic times get tough, it hits hardest for those who only fit into category #1 above.

How about a show of hands for those providers that fall under #3!

IT'S SIMPLE. We don't work 40 hours a week. One week we "may" get 3 appts. Another week we "may" get 1. We could also go three weeks with 0 appointments.

I'm so freaking sick of guys thinking we work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, make all this freaking money and have absolutely no expenses. We are just stacking our paper in a safe deposit box at the bank.

Yea, that's it. It takes me 5 minutes to prepare for each of my 8 appointments a day, bringing in 1600 a day....NOT.....

I don't make in a month what some of you make in a week.

I think the question was asked with good intentions and the hostility is uncalled for and serves no purpose.

The gentleman even tried to help the lady financially. That shows his heart is in the right place.

I think we can all agree that the economy has been in dire straits for some time now, but the question was intended to measure the depth of the situation for providers.

These are tough times, but shooting the messenger is not the way to deal with the situation.

I believe that better days are on the horizon.

I'm thinking it's time to get laid, or anger management. You took only 1 small part of my response and left off the rest of it. I have personally had providers tell me that they put the extra money away for when they are too old to do this anymore. One well known provider is putting away all the money to pay cash for her condo. So, yes many struggle and many do well.
I just put in my 2 cents and experiences over the years and also stated why I can understand the problems they may have.
If you have a lack of business, maybe it's your attitude.

Personally, as someone else said, it IS NONE of our business. But you cannot fault the thread starters for being curious.
