If I can also inject some contructive advice for those who either don't get some of their provider requests answered (as Lea mentioned above) or simply need a refresher in proper tact for approaching any lady, the following principles come to mind:

1) Requesting time with any provider is no different than approaching a woman for a personal date.

2) Always, always, always be a gentleman...throughout all methods of communication and during all personal time, bcd or not.

Well, obviously, you have been burned and that is too bad! Never a good thing to have a bad experience in this hobby.

You both have good points but I think you are talking about two different things in a way. Dr House's basic premise is "it's about the ladies", which is a good premise indeed. The key is the word "ladies".

A woman should be treated with respect. Even in the beginning, it should be assumed that you are dealing with a lady. But, a woman should act like a lady too and when that doesn't happen, she should no longer be considered a lady!

Your experience in Houston was regrettable and I would not considered that provider to meet the "lady" standard at all. It was obvious that she thought everything was about her! She had no respect for you or your efforts and you, in return, have ever right to have lost all respect for her!

Still treated her with respect. Disappointed, I just drove back to Austin. I just wonder how many other hobbyist or providers would have just done that. I had been trying to meet up with this provider for 2 months. I had sent several PM'S that went unanswered. I just happened to run into her ad. I sent a PM and called and left message. That’s when the TEXT crap started. None the less I forwarded 7 references. I was set for an appointment and I was off. This provider knew I was coming from the east side of Houston. We both understood it would take me 31/2 hours to arrive. Sending me a text telling me she no longer had an appointment available and I would have to wait 2 hours... Hummm. I sent a text saying we would just have to reschedule for another time.Then after the 11/2 hour drive to Austin getting a text that she was mad that all her appointments canceled? I was mystified. I’m pretty certain; she was probably doing the same thing to the other hobbyist. She was trying to stack one appointment after another. Obviously NOT a low volume provider and a thoughtless one at that!

Here is where we disagree. When a provider starts paying me $200-300 per hour then it will be "ALL ABOUT HER"! Till then it’s all about me. Treating a provider with dignity, respect and kindness are never in play. That should be automatic and a given. Hell I can't remember EVER have a provider delineate what happens during out session. It is understood they are there for me, not the other way around! Actually I can't believe were even talking about this! I most certainly agree you draw more flies with honey than vinegar. Why would anyone not treat a provider accordingly?

I'll end by telling you a story... A Hobbyist once pulled down his pants and the provider asked... "Who do you think your going to satisfy with that thing?" His answer.... "ME!"
