Yes, it is just as silly. I never expect men to converse like women, and I ask that they don't expect me to restrain myself like a man would. An old (male) friend of mine once said, "Men talk because they have something to say; women talk because they love to hear the sound of their own voices." He was of course trying to pull my chain, but I didn't give him the satisfaction because had to admit that, thought highly exaggerated, the statement is generally true.
