Stupid no, ignorant, at times. You only need to listen to some of her interviews to determine that she is not as up to date as she should be.
She saw her chance at fame and cashed in. Can't blame her for taking advantage of her instant fame. It was obvious she had other plans when she resigned as governer.

This thread isn't about Obama, its about Palin. You're the one who started the thread remember?

I was asked to prove why I think she's ignorant, so I did.

If you want to distract from the original post because no one backed up your post, then so be it.

Did I mention Obama? What makes you think I would defend him or any other politician? If it makes you feel better, post away. Sure, she was only a VP candidate, but VP candidates should be able to answer tough policy questions. Remember Charlie Gibsons interview with Palin? Fair or not, she did not offer much fight.

The Bush Tragedy," actually identified six Bush Doctrines: Bush Doctrine 1.0 was Unipolar Realism (3/7/99--9/10/01); Bush Doctrine 2.0 was With Us or Against Us (9/11/01--5/31/02); Bush Doctrine 3.0 was Preemption (6/1/02--11/5/03); Bush Doctrine 4.0 was Democracy in the Middle East (11/6/03--1/19/05); Bush Doctrine 5.0 was Freedom Everywhere (1/20/05-- 11/7/06); and Bush Doctrine 6.0 (11/8/06 to date) is the "absence of any functioning doctrine at all."

I have to disagree again Elena (please don't feel like I'm picking on you) but you didn't prove anything, you expressed your opinion. Yes, I compared Palin to Obama because if you look at your last post prior to that you made the same comparison.
Anyway, I finally have something to work with. You have made some specific charges that can be either confirmed or refuted. This is not a citation by the way.
She supports a complete ban on abortion (your statement):
Palin has been accused of forcing rape victims to pay for their own rape kits. This was a policy of the former police chief before Palin became Mayor. Her defense is that is was already policy and once she became aware of the practice she did not see where she should interfere the chief in the performance of his duties if it did not endanger the public.
She is pro-life (as is slightly over half the country) but you have to define what pro-life means exactly. Rape, incest; yes, she says choose life. Understand, CHOOSE life. She allows the choice but has a preference. When the life of the mother is in danger she has come out saying choose the life of the mother over that of the baby. You may not like her position (and you obviously don't) but she walks the walk by noting her own daughter and her youngest child. Give her some respect for that.
Politically she believes in a right to privacy but not a FEDERAL right to abortion. She believes that abortion rights should be decided on a state by state basis. She also believes that public money should never be used for abortions. If you want the sources I will find them but most of Palin's positions match that of over half the countries voters. Other than did Palin say it or not we are not talking about facts, we are talking about opinions. I believe that shortly after conception it is a human baby and not some bunch of cells.

Polar bears should not be on the endangered species list (your statement): Palin sued the Federal government for attempting to use the endangered species act to place off limits land for oil exploration. The Federal government using the projections of global warming was going to extend the areas of protection to include areas under human development. Now we all should be aware that there are some very serious problems with the entire global warming hypothesis. Interesting that the number of polar bears has increased by almost 300% BEFORE there was talk about putting them on the endangered list. Why were they not on the list 30 years ago when some people said that were only 800 left? To me it sounds political and not environmental. Palin acted to protect Alaska and Alaskan land owner rights.

I'll have to get back to this, almost time for work.

UNITED STATES
Number of abortions per year: 1.37 Million (1996)
Number of abortions per day:
Approximately 3,700

Who's having abortions (age)?
52% of women obtaining abortions in the U.S. are younger than 25: Women aged 20-24 obtain 32% of all abortions; Teenagers obtain 20% and girls under 15 account for 1.2%.

Who's having abortions (race)?
While white women obtain 60% of all abortions, their abortion rate is well below that of minority women. Black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are roughly 2 times as likely. ..........all rape and incest im sure.
