Cowboys are a great team, too. I was a big fan until Jerry Jones took over, but they are rising again in my estimation.

regardless of how the Cowgirlies do this year, Romo's headed out of Big D unless he wants to hold a clipboard for league minimum bahaha say waht you want about Jerry as a GM, he's not going to give Romo 24m to be a backup. Romo has trade veto so early indications is he might end up in Denver ala Manning. if he can hold together for a season, that has a lot of upside for Denver and Romo.

I know Football, this kid is good. He appears cool and calm and he can also throw accurately on the run which is a great attribute for a Quarterback.

Yep, it broke the Austin reach-around crew's and EKIM'S tiny hearts to find out that they WEREN'T named the FUDGE PACKERS ! They really got upset to see that the " brutes " weren't wearing the rainbow colors on their uniforms !

Mediocre is being kind.
Osweiler is well on his way to becoming one of free agency's All Time Busts (not just for the Texans but ALL of the NFL). They sorely overestimated this kid's talent level. I've yet to see him throw consecutive passes with the same mechanics....he's all over the board with his point-of-release....his foot work is terrible compounding his POR issues.
John Elway must have some kind of Guardian Angel guiding him...the Broncos dodged a H U G E bullet not signing this guy to a long-term contract.

That Mitchell guy who backed up Marino and went to the Lions was a pretty big bust. He would be hard too beat.

Yeah, it was Scott Mitchell....signed to a free agent deal in 1994, 3 year $11M contract. Those dollars pale in comparison to Osweiler's deal:
4 yrs / $72M
$12M signing bonus
$18M av per yr
$37 GUARANTEED
Through 11 games (2016), Brock's stats:
224comp / 400att / 2,307 yds / 12-13 td-int / 59.5% comp / 72.2 QBR
As the Texan's QB, Osweiler's done what few if any opposing DB's have been able to accomplish these past few years: take super WR Hopkins completely Out Of The Game.

Matt Cassel was a pretty huge bust for the Chiefs. Starts for one season in NE after Brady goes down and turns it into a huge payday ...fucking worthless.

that's no shit, Smith is a good game manager and I'm sure he hates that when he hears it, I just wish he had a better arm for a deep ball threat

Wonder what 1994 dollars are worth today?

Cassel failed everywhere he went after the Patriots. I hate to admit it, Belicheat knows what he's doing.

I have a brother who lives in Houston and is a very frustrated Texans fan ..... and although I love my Cowboys I wouldn't mind seeing Houston become competitive ..... but except for the 7 years that Matt Schaub was their quarterback ..... I mean jeezus, look at this list ..... David Carr, Tony Banks, Dave Ragone, Sage Rosenfels, Matt Leinart, TJ Yates, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mallett, Case Keenum, Brian Hoyer, Brandon Weeden ..... and now Brock Osweiler? ..... they've been in the league since 2002 ..... but they're never going anywhere until they find their "franchise QB" .....
