English is not my first language either - but a second language is never an excuse for illiteracy - excusable in conversation, but never in writing, with the easy access to online resources to translate and structure sentences.

That is entirely irrelevant here though, because the post in question isn't using poor grammar or words in the wrong context - they are instead phonetically sounding out words and assembling letters that they think make that word. That is a sign of failing elementary school and giving up, not of an un-mastered language comprehension.

A little tangent: bad spelling vs typos. Auto correct vs proofreading. I try, but don't always look twice. Judge the grammar at that point.
