No, mods are more like the IT equivalent of stall muckers. They dare to take on the task of determining shit from shinola, separating it, shoveling it to the proper location and then deciding if the excrement in question has validity, is simply disgusting or is indeed malodorous enough to be deemed vile, at which time the producer of such vile, toxic, weapon grade feces is "pointed" for being able to produce shit that is recognizably more offensive than the mundane, day to day shit that piles up in web forums.
Without these stout hearted souls we'd be knee deep in our own shit, left to our own devices to deal with it and live fat an happy not knowing whether any of this shit was misplaced, cause for alarm or just a gassy floater full of black beans and corn, like this one.
