It's all going to come down to the Giants game in NY. Even if Dallas loses to Philly, they take the division if they beat the Giants. That assumes the Giants don't lose to the Jets. If that happens and the Cowboys beat Philly, Dallas clinches next Sunday. It would be a glorious Christmas in Cowboyland and would be further proof of my theory, there is no god.

The other theory would be that God loves the Cowboys. Things are going there way right now.

If god loved the Cowboys he would do something to limit Jerry Jones' presence. Without him everybody could love the Cowboys.

Most everything that I wanted to say has already been said by Smitty, RJ and Utrskr. The Eagles (6-8) could still win the division with an 8-8 record if Dallas loses to the Eagles and Giants and the Giants lose to the Jets. Possible but not very likely. More than likely it will come down to the final game between the Cowboys and Giants, unless the Giants gift wrap the division to the Cowboys by losing to the Jets and the Cowboys win against the Eagles. The Lions will probably secure 1 of the wild card spots along with the Falcons. This season has been like a wild roller coaster ride and the ride may not be over yet.
And Smitty, you are right about Romo. I am a Romo fan and even I was almost ready to call for him being replaced after he blew the Lions game. But like you say, who do you replace him with? When Romo is "on", he is right up there with the very best QBs in the league. Romo is a gunslinger, just like his idol Brett Favre. He always has been and always will be. He can win games with his spectacular plays but unfortunately he can lose games with ill advised throws that result in interceptions. I think we have seen that an established running game can tame Romo some what by taking some pressure off of him. That and improved offensive line play will be a great help to the Cowboys in the future. Romo will never be an elite QB or "the guy" until he leads the Cowboys to a Super Bowl win. Whether this will ever happen, remains to be seen. And they must improve their defense, particularly their defensive secondary and pass rush.

Detroit Lions are now 10-5 and have clinched a playoff berth.
Dallas Cowboys are now 8-7 and hanging on by the skin of their teeth.
It is looking like RJ is in for some good times.

It will be cool to get together somewhere to watch the Guants vs Cowboys game. I have a feeling that RJ is winning this bet.
Anybody up for this?

If I were a betting man I would go with RJ at this point. And come one, America's team will be put down by the Lions. Jerry should be proud.

It is interesting that this bet has come down to the last game of the season. The Lions , after a mid season stumble picked things up and played well down the stretch, while the Cowboys seem to be continuing there December woes. Can Romo step up and win a big one when it's on the line? Will the defense be able to shut down Eli and company in the fourth quarter and look like a Buddy Ryan defense rather than a Rob Ryan defense? Probably not.
If Green Bay hadn't been so good this season, and the NFC east so bad this bet would have been over a few weeks back, but it all comes down to the one game.
The next questions,,,, if rj wins, is he in good enough condition to handle all the free pussy he'll have at his disposal? Will he spend it all on one lady in a marathon session, or will he spread the cash around and be like the Santa Claus of hobbyist?
Stay tuned for the details folks. LOL

Yeah, I agree that things do not look too good for the Cowboys. If Romo can not play or if he plays and is ineffective because of his hand injury, then the Cowboys stand no chance of beating the Giants. But there is still hope (as slim as it is) that they will find a way to win against the Giants. We will see.

RJ,
Please forward me your Cayman Islands Checking Account Routing Nunber so I can click transfer on my phone as soon as the game is over.
I'm not a cowboys fan so it was stupid on my part to enter this bet to begin with.
Enough said

I'd be up for this if we can find a mutually agreeable place. I'll bring plenty of cash in case I have to pay off.
I'm really wondering how this will turn. How badly hurt is Romo and which Giants team will show up for the game. Weather and home field would favor the NYG, but who knows.
It's only fitting after 280+ posts this comes down to all or nothing for the boys.
As for the winnings (if I should be so fortunate), I have been working out with a trainer for the past 5 months, I've dropped 25+ pounds and 5 " in the waist. Some luck lady is going to get her brains fucked out...LOL.
I'm ready and I'm doing a tune up round tonight!!
