So Global warming is the sole reason for Coral Bleaching. Although temperature is a reason for the bleaching of hard corals other factors can be involved. Such as excessive sediments which irritate coral tissue, inadequate lighting which is essential for the Zooxanthellate Algae present in the coral tissue, which require light for photosynthesis and of course temperature, which is the basis of the article. Hard Corals survive best at temperatures between 71-78F, many species can withstand temperature extremes as low as 61F to as high as 95F. Your article is vague in terms of the temperature extremes exerted on the corals in the location stated in the article. Although there may indeed be a coral bleaching event in that area there's nothing compelling in that article which would lead me to believe Global Warming is the culprit.

Well first of all C02 is not in abundance in our atmosphere anyway. Earths atmosphere consists mostly of Nitrogen at 78%, Oxygen at 21%, Argon less than 1% and C02 the big bad wolf of "Global Warming" at less than 1% and a host of trace elements such as Neon, Helium, Krypton and Xenon to name a few.

correct. the only issue of CO2 emissions is that it threatens the O2 ratio of the atmosphere. that's a matter of pollution, NOT any crap about "climate change"
