So, you're going to join your fellow traveler in focusing on a bungled and out-of-context sentence in a press report and disingenuously claim or insinuate that it should be taken to mean that Hillary should be absolved of blame for her email server fiasco, bulk deletions, and cover-up because the FBI is supposedly investigating "only the emails," and not her personally? Generally, yes, we still do have due process in the US. But I certainly don't expect Obama's justice department to subject his party's projected standard-bearer to much in the way of inconvenience or unpleasantry over this. I do think she'll pay a hell of a political price, though, and think that you progressives ought to be looking somewhere else lest she go down in flames (most likely politically speaking only, not legally) at a very inconvenient time.

Let's say that, Tebow forbid, you are suspected of committing fraud by cheating a bunch of dupes out of their hard-earned money in some convoluted scam. Suppose further that the prosecution soon decides to subpoena and examine all your text messages along with emails, records of phone calls, and any other form of electronic or other communication.
Then suppose that you instruct your attorney to argue before the court that you should be absolved of all culpability because the authorities were ONLY supposed to be investigating your texts and emails, along with the "security" thereof, not you personally. (See how far you get with that one!)
Do you seriously believe that the FBI investigates ONLY emails, servers, and other inanimate objects with no view toward connecting dots between persons having something to do with their creation and existence? (Or non-existence due to intentional destruction, for that matter.)

In my opinion the reason the Reps are out to get Hillary is the same as when the they helped Obama beat her. They want to run against someone they feel they have a chance against.
