Those two comments practically say the exact same thing. Just like two pea's in a pod. If the OP does as Ms. Summerhill does, she too can have a wonderful life in this business.

Now this is where I extrapolated from you , I and Charles prior posts! I'll admit to a bit of good natured fun in that part.

It is really difficult to look back and say what could have been, any change in your past would also change your present outlook on life. Only if one is unhappy with the present would they want to change the past. You look at the past to change the future. One can not look back on the past with certainty that a change would always be to the good. Besides there is no time machine on eccie!

That is the part I was referring to as "not getting it right"; got it now with that followup.

True, that one can not know what a change in the past would have done to the present. Yet, I would bet most of us look back at the past and found at least one thing we had done differently.

Very true, our past is what makes us who we are today, and the crappy moments make you appreciate what you have now all the more.I get the feeling that Lauren appreciates what she has at this time in her life. I can understand that because the last couple of years have been very good to me,and I know how important it is to appreciate what you have while you are still in the moment.

I hear he gives discounts and accepts a dog's bark as a reference.

Actually the things I would change wouldn't change the outcome of my life.
I simply wouldn't have put up with some of the situations I had, because everyone around me said this was a shallow empty world and there wasn't more to be expected. Had I known there was hope for a greater sense of respect and dignity, where I could feel fondness for the men I bedded, I would have lived with less and waited patiently until I developed a kinder clientele.
I would prefer to be friends with the men I have sex with - whether casual or partner. The two are not exclusive, and when combined make for much better sex. I can understand a familial type of bond being awkward though.
