Though it is a fun subject to kick around.
All I know is that the girls I admire do not have to ask questions such as these.
They know what is right for them, asking others is nothing more than idle chit-chat.

Given that Natalie initiates threads rarely (only five total and no other ones recently...I just checked) and that most of her posts are rather brief compared to the two in this thread (including the IP), I strongly suspect that you are wrong in this case. In other words and to be clear, I'd wager that she has (or had) a significant real interest in hearing some other opinions and discussion and was not just trying make conversation for the sake of conversation, as you seem to imply.
Of course, there is no need to speculate; Natalie can tell us which of us is correct, if she pleases.
With apologies for repeating myself slightly, in my experience at least, these gray area situations (somewhere between p4p and np4p) can be really confusing and make issues that would otherwise be simple and obvious seem perplexing. My guess is that such is the case here, for Natalie's "friend".

How can I be wrong, it was just my my opinion. No different than expressing who is pretty. Personal choice is all.

Did you read my first sentence?
That said, I do think ' philosophical discussion' instead of idle chit-chat would have been a better choice of words.
Soooooooo, I hope she is capabable of making choices like these on her own and it was in fact a ' philosophical discussion' but if not, no biggie.

Thank you for weighing in everyone (and nice to see you Wwanderer!). Human relationships are always complex—there's almost no one in the world whose company doesn't offer me happiness in some ways, and also no relationship is perfect. If the lady in question point-blank hated the gentleman in question, it wouldn't be much of a question at all.
The perfect courtesan is supposed to be able to intelligently and diplomatically converse on a wide array of topics (on how many websites have we seen this phrase?). The advice/experience I was looking for was more along the lines of—is it worth it to engage with someone at all when you find yourself in the position of my friend? Is it reasonable to ask that certain topics not be mentioned? How does one balance being a paid companion and a real person with opinions, and what are you actually being paid for (your true self/mind/personality, or who someone wants to believe you are, particularly when this is antithetical to your own values)?
Anyway, my questions have been more than answered and I appreciate everyone's advice. I'll spend the rest of the day mourning the loss of WTF's admiration, if I ever had it in the first place.

LOL....well it wasn't you, it was a friend that was having the trouble.
You appear to just be having a ' philosophical discussion'.
Everyone of us are different, I like to engage others and am not easily offended, God I still have a mind to post on herfacechair's thread, so my point was that this is in the realm of some Cosmo article concerning 'What should I do', you ladies are more advanced than that.

Yep, but I chose to ignore it rather than draw the inference that you do not admire Natalie's "friend".

Fwiiw, I am extremely confident that both Natalie and her "friend" are more than capable of making such choices for themselves and were looking to this thread for input and alternative perspectives, not for instructions on what to do.
Anyway, my apologies if I appeared to jump on you; I have less than zero interest in online bickering. My work involves me in more than enough tempests in teapots, leaving me with no appetite for more. Anyway, you are right, "philosophical discussion" would not have evoked the same (or any) reaction from me.

This seems to me an amazingly bold and implausible claim, but the fact that you can tolerate my company is fairly convincing evidence!

Ah, yes, but since I asked on her behalf, I assumed the non-admiration extended to me as well. My friend unfortunately lost all of her limbs in a bizarre gardening accident that rendered her unable to type, and so I offered my assistance as a liaison to the community.

No apologies necessary. Bad choice of words on my part. It is the internet, happens all the time.

Hot Damn your friend lost her arms and legs! ....and she is worried about a suitors' bigoted comments?
I say she resort to humor and show up in black face at their next encounter.
Ww has vouched for ya, to late now to declare anything other than 'philosophical discussion'
