That said, I do love cats as well, and hope to be able to start up a mixed family someday.

Congrats, Liv - you are a hero in my eyes!

Good taste Sis.The arctic breeds are my absolute favorite. They tend to have cat attitudes combined with the looks of a wild animal.Edward is so cool he never slobbers, and when he wags his tail it is done in a very slow non frantic way.

When we were up in Tahoe Ed started to howl with a pack of Coyotes. I thought he heard the Call of the wild, and was going to run off with them, but after a couple of minutes he returned to his room at the motel 6 for dinner, and a nap.

I got the feeling that Edgar had more respect for cats, but Michael Jackson liked his rats, remember Ben. Now Kafka made me look at cock roaches in an entirely different light.

Yeah, I don't believe either you OR Ed would set foot in a Motel 6.

Squirrels are rats with a good PR agent.

{Answering for Becky} Edward had set up an in-call there. It was short notice and he needed to get a room quickly. It was one of his regulars that he arranges long term engagements, so that's why he went with more modest accommodations.

Did I get it right Becky?

They were bred to go after badgers & such...I get it. Tough little suckers! Just NOT dogs...more like ferrets...with attitude! Not feeling a breed I have to throw out my back to pet.

That's probably a very good characterization. My general experience with "pure breds" is that they tend to be a bit...shall we say?...high strung? *

The artic breeds...on the other hand...just don't seem to rattle. Whatever happens...whatever comes along...is either JUST what they expected...or they JUST don't give a damn! Either way, I dig that...
