They didn't legalize, decriminalize or lessen the severity of the penalties for any of the offenses. It just means you will get a summons to appear in court instead of being arrested, jailed, and having to post bond to get out until your court date.

Yea and thats a hell of a lot better then sittin in OPP waiting on a court date with no finckin bond on a outta state ID! not that I would know hahaha..I is a La resident ladies & gents check my ID! whew Im covered.

Cristy, i don't think you'll see any more amp's, they still need a permit to open, and SW's come and go. If you've ever tried to get a permit of any kind in Nola it is a big hassle.
1TB is right nothing after the bust will change except you won't go to criminal court, and it will be somewhere in the back of the newspaper.

And, unless Municipal Court improves its recordkeeping, second & third offenses (felonies) will be less likely.

Very good maybe other cities will follow would be alot more $ for them to just give fines to anyone caught and alot easier on everyones lifes !
