Yes this country has a history of bad relations. You can't change history. I agree that people shouldn't be treated differently because of the color of their skin. I disagree with your statement that choices of preferring to someone based on weight isn't discrimination. Yes it's not "the same" yet it is still a form of discrimination. You want to try to cloud it "eye color, hair color, height" etc. That is just ridiculous! And if there were someone out there not choosing to see someone because of their hair color or eye color anyways, it's their choice. Get over it. Ladies do have a choice of who they see, but I never said that we should "better never not even mention this topic". That's just an implication on your part.
I still do believe that this "topic" is beating a dead horse. There are always going to be two sides to this "topic" and I believe that by bringing it up over and over doesn't open up anyone's eyes, it just reinforces their beliefs.

First of all, I didn't attack your character. You did however place your opinion out there about this being a dead topic that you basically wish would go away and never be brought up again. In your own words you need to "get over it." For you it's just a "topic." For other people it's a fact of life that they will always encounter someone who will treat them differently because of their skin color regardless of their moral character or their accomplishments in life.
There is a difference between choice and discrimination. If a lady chose not to see someone because their screening wasn't up to par for some reason, that's a choice. If a lady decides not to see someone of a certain ethnicity without requiring any other information, it's her choice, but it's also discriminatory. When the day comes that we all can honestly say that race isn't an issue at all for some people, then the "race card" can effectively be put away. By the way, that phrase is just a dog whistle type description used to try to invalidate another person's argument by marking it as being non existent.
Finally you say that I placed you into a group needlessly and equated it to me being placed in a group because of my race. I formed an opinion based upon what you posted, not your race. That's the difference. You have the benefit of being judged by your words or actions by most people. Most AA guys have the burden of being judged before they open their mouth or do anything wrong. Those prejudgements can be overcome, but they are there. I can guess by the fact that since you kept placing "topic" in quotation marks that you view this as a non issue. Again, that's your right but it does matter to some others.

When I first started reading the title of the thread, I initially thought: "Here we go again". Usually every two or three months someone starts up one of these threads and it almost always takes a turn for the worse. In Houston such threads can turn nasty or hateful...........not in a direct attack sense. But, in a sense of the glaring naiveity or plan out right ignorance of the person asking the question and of some responding.

This in no way is an attack on the original poster or those that responded. Simply my own observations. In a sense it is a buyers market. We can choose to see who will see us for the funds we decide to part with. Likewise, providers can choose to see who they want and dictate said terms before hand. To later question, why a provider makes a certain choice that may or may not include someone of a particular race, is the great thing about having choice on their side. For the hobbyist, it is also their perogative to spend their time and money with who will spend it with them. It's all about choice.........this hobby isn't all that hard to understand. Simple economics of supply and demand and sometimes buyer's remorse and of course buyer beware..................It boils down to choice.........to question it is really a waste of time.

Just have fun and don't sweat the small stuff.

In my experience every single black man (with the exception of two) has attempted to get their business on for free. I now only see black men that are verified hobbyists with two references, have reviewed ladies, and are frequenters of this board or another well known one. It's not an exclusive incident to the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area that I have provided in, so I use my discretion as to who I meet with. I'm disappointed to say that this is the case.

I have dated black men before. ...And, I pretty much think y'all are babes who age exceptionally well. It's exclusively a business thing for me. I don't want to waste my time, money, or gas on a guy if it's not worth it.

If you speak like a thug to me, I'm going to safely assume that is what you are-- doesn't matter your color. My well-being is more important than your money.

Providers deal with discrimination every day-- for age, weight, height, hair color, skin tone, etc. You shouldn't take it so personally as most of the time we try not to. Different strokes for different folks?

I rarely have trouble with clients. I have the advantage of my age that eliminates a lot of the complaints that come with young men. But I will say the ONLY time I was ever ripped off was by a white man who was around 45 yrs old on my first trip to NOLA!

Red, I've had the same experience. I wasn't ripped of exactly, but my only date ever where a man acted without his senses was when I saw a white guy in nola...and yep...he was around mid 40s. Does that mean we won't see them anymore? Hells no! I love my 40-somethings! Best sex I've ever had! It DOES mean that any guy (black, white, or otherwise) must have reputable references for me to feel comfortable seeing him. I'm not faulting everyone for the mistake of one, but I am now assuming that you're not on the up and up until you show me you are. It sucks (or doesn't , depending on how you look at it) for the guys who refuse to allow some screening, but them's the breaks kid. However, its a benefit for the guys who ARE legit and ready to play nicely. We all know...there are a ton of those boys and I, for one, welcome them...black, white, or whatever.

One of my favorite reviews from ASPD was from a black male-- had no idea what his skin color was until I opened the door. He was actually one of my atf clients for the sex.
