No one is addressing the issue of leaking the ROS details.

I understand the points that have been made here about personal privacy, but what about the privacy of the details on the board?

If every guy on the board just starts emailing the ROS to the provider. Then what?

Said member could copy and paste ANY ROS review and send it to ANY provider.

Isn't there something here on ECCIE about this not being ok?

Thoughts? Anyone?

It IS NOT ok to share the ROS information with anyone other than a male member with PA. One of the guidelines of the board addresses this:

#20 - The men and women of our board each have their respective private areas in which secure content is posted and a greater freedom of expression allowed. Each member is responsible for keeping the information in any of the private secure areas (Men's Lounge, Provider Powder Room, The Rest of the Story, posts which have been tagged as private) 100% restricted to the members who are intended to have access to that material. Revealing ANY content which was posted in one of the men's or women's private sections of the board will result in penalty, up to and including loss of your access to these areas. Full cooperation may result in a less severe penalty, and each violation will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Repeated infractions will impact the severity of punishment.

Board discipline is between staff and that member and will be addressed.

A friend of mine was banned for 30 days for speaking about something a member told her (in which was ros i assume) i dont think thats fair. Why should the girl be banned or punished when she did not ask for the info to be told to her? She should have the right to defend her self right?

I always thought the proper defense in that situation is to tell the mods who gave her that information. That way he gets the punishment, not her.

I also seem to remember reading a long time ago that it is OK to share a review with a provider before it is posted, but not after. Even by the person that wrote it.

I would like to see that link that says its ok to do that.I would seriously have to question the integrity of any review that is shared with the provider... but that is just me...... sixx

It's just something I seem to recall reading way back, and I don't think I'm imagining it but I might.

Come to think of it, maybe it was a TER policy? Never mind, I'm confused.

Yeah i guess i did not give the mods his information because i knew he would get in trouble and i did not want that... so i took the punishment even though i did not think it was fair. Like she said, i did not ask for the info to be given to me lol. The ONLY reason i made mention of it was to defend my self. Shame shame on me for doing that, i learned my lesson lol. For the record, i dont want anything ever shared with me again, because i will always defend myself and i sure dont want to be banned for it again!!

My understanding is that is a TER policy.

Even though she did not ask for the information, the punishment really was for sharing that information with others, not because she was told it. If she was told the information but never shared it with anyone, she would not have been sanctioned.

I believe that is true. It doesn't really require a written policy to be true. Before the review is posted (and becomes property of ECCIE or the site), what the reviewer does with that information cannot be governed by the site. Once it is posted, the policy about sharing ROS can be applied, but not retroactively.

I've shared quite a few of my reviews with the provider before posting them. I see it as a feedback mechanism for the providers that I thought could take the feedback and improve their offering, I offered it before the review was posted. As for the integrity of the review that is shared with the provider... that really depends on the content. I reviewed a provider with a stellar reputation as a 6.5 and a decent session. In fact, the concept of ROS exists because it allows for sharing of information without possibility of back and forth between the hobbyist and provider, reducing drama. If hobbyist doesn't give a shit, then the entire review could be done without ROS (aside from legal details).
