High Earning Escorts and Gift Pages
Thoughts?
I'll keep mine until I can express them more diplomatically(haha).
As I meet others and my site begins to get around, I've considered the gift page quandary...I would almost prefer a small infoblog wherein I can make silly posts about Hermes porcelain So, the topic is on my mind...
I've seen plenty of "donate to this charity for no discount at all really + extra work". Why? It makes no sense to me. I speak of high earners and multi-hour sorts, not hourly sex workers who are offering similar.
...do go forth, randomly. (P.S.: I do not buy into self-denial = strength or honor, or any of that other humility-as-arrogance crap; save it for your own bother, please. This is about gifts, and gifting and good material girl fun.)
(P.S.S. I was very impressed by KGlyde's info-blogging style, but do not see it being utilized much?)

The problem with gift pages for me is that they are by nature pretty generic. By that, I mean they would be accepted by anyone that cares to buy and gift them. The things I would like are a lot more specific and personal to me and I wouldn't want just anyone buying them. I'd much rather someone who has a genuine interest in seeing me benefit from them have the opportunity to go that route. Whilst it would certainly have been kind last year for anyone to have bought me a Rosetta Stone box set, it came from a gentleman that I had seen multiple times and still see to this day...so he gets to see how much I have actually enjoyed/benefited from that gift too. I dunno..maybe I'm just odd like that.
As for charitable causes, I don't list them. I do have two and will let people know what they are if they ask and I offer discounts on dinner dates if people do donate. I REALLY dislike the gift pages that have lists of expensive shops, holidays and all that sort of crud. If you are going to put an expensive jewellers/boutique etc then at least pick an item to link to. Otherwise it projects as "I don't really care what you get me as long as its from there."
I have been no help whatsoever Nin..but thanks for asking anyway

I agree with Camille, they tend to be pretty generic. The idea of a Rosetta Stone box set sounds fun - I'd love one in Spanish!
I think when gift pages started they were a good idea, but now they seem as copied as the prose on a lot of girls' sites.

I'm not a big fans of the detailed lists with luxury brands. They just seem a little presumptious. My question for the ladies that have them: are they an expectation or not?
I've always worked under the assumption that she would rather have an extra couple of hundred bucks than a bottle of perfume, etc.
I do think it is appropriate to bring a small gift, of nominal value, like flowers, candies, or wine, maybe coupled with a book I think she'd enjoy. That is just good manners, like I would bring something for my dinner party host.

Yes, and it's always lovely to enjoy a great bottle of wine with a client. They generally know a lot more about wine than I do.

I like to bring gifts that do not come off one of those generic lists. If a lady posts on a board or has a blog it is often possible to glean some information on what might be appreciated; twitter works less often but once in a while it does for ladies that use it frequently.

Nope - Just turns me off
I know that it probably is not the case in general with all the ladies, but to me it seems very presumptuous, and instantly gives me a turn off. I would prefer to spend quality time with a lady, listen, listen and then make a personal decision of something special.
If I am interest in the young lady, and I do look at her website, I will read detail for detail each and every word, to get more acquainted the person whom I am attracted to, but the one tab on the webpage that will never get clicked is the "Gifts Page".
If it is listed on the webpage, oh anyone can look and then run out a buy that gift for her, he does not have to "listen and learn". Loses a personality and character in my opinion.
But that's just me....I like the personal touch.

I think that's an awesome mindset. Thank you for sharing.

I have a "Things I Like" page that is easily found on my site. I'm a collector so nearly any thoughtful choice will be an exciting addition. Things like Vinyl records, poetry books, antique books, masks can be quite affordable and still a wonderful piece. Vinyls go as low as $2. It doesn't matter who gave it to me or which poet/band/artist it is, I'm thrilled to have it in the collection. Part of the fun is seeing what he'll pick when he walks into a Record Store, book store or antique shop. It's a look into them as well, a way they can share their interests with me in an object I will highly value. I've also been introduced to fantastic artists/writers this way I might not have heard about otherwise.
If you dig deep into my blog I have what I call a "Dream Book". Here I have only one expensive item I drool over listed. Otherwise I just post information and links to amazing things I've found. I mention trips to Himilayan Hometsays, Truffle Hunting and the Valley of 10 Thousand Smokes. I list books like the Saducismus Triumphatus, and Radcliffe's The Noble Science of Fox-Hunting and Greek Epic Fragments: From the Seventh to the Fifth Centuries BC. Do I expect anyone to take me to any of these places or hunt down these books? No. However, they're the kind of things I daydream about, and I think let people know about my personality. They also open up wonderful paths of conversations with those who read it.

I do not have a Gifts page. Like Camille, I prefer gifts that come from a gentleman’s own desire to give me something that I can remember him by. One of the best gifts I ever got was a Brazilian cuisine cook book. I use it often and think of the sweet man that gave it to me.

If a lady wants to give me a gift for my attitude, politeness and sexual prowess, I have no objection. It's never happened, and I'm not holding my breath, but I'm still open to it, and wouldn't turn it down.

I always have a gift for my dates. Sometimes it's a simple book by one of his fav authors. I try and pick up on something he enjoys during our bantering because I like surprising my dates with an unexpected gift.

There is one lovely lady I know who always does this; by now we have a pretty good idea what kinds of things each other likes and it is always great fun at the start of a date to exchange gifts.
